Vampires Have Been Getting A Bum Rap. What Changed That?

It was as much of a sensation as the Harry Potter books.

False. Harry Potter books have sold over 400 million copies. Twilight AND Host (Meyer's other book outside of the series) have sold about 25 million. You do that math on that one.

I've got all of the HP books in Hardback and Softcover.

I got hooked on them from the movies. Harry Potter is a great way to get kids to read.

Twilight will never be up to that level.

I just get the feeling it's a Calvin Klein commercial.


I'm still hooked on True Blood though.

Somehow, the fourth Twilight book Breaking Dawn won "Children's Book of the Year." This is book in which a vampire fucks a girl unconscious, gets her pregnant, then her mutant infant kicks her so hard inside the womb it breaks her ribs and severs her spine, and then the vampire gives the girl a C-section with his teeth.

Children's Book of the Year. Really.
