christianity has been corrupted long before trump. Long long before trump. Trump is just of a fruit in planting the seeds for sicophants. A seed that has been planted for all Americans alike. Wether they consider themselves on the left or the right, atheist or religious...it doesn't matter. On both sides, principles are cast aside. It doesn't matter what it is you believe in, it's more about the side you are on. And Americans take whichever side and drive it off the cliff that is reason. The church failed long before the "media" and "Hollywood", and the "culture" turned against them. They turned because they failed. And the church deserves plenty (not all) of the flak they take. I don't want to say they were bound to fail, but when you have 200 years of culture on your side (really more than that) you're bound to get complacent. Complacent in the sense that you believe the church building itself takes precendent over what the church was clearly intended to be. The last service I went to (Easter) made me sick to my stomach, they announced the best way they could honor God was to spend a quater million to refurbish the sanctuary...I think if Jesus were here today, he'd be flipping over church buildings themselves. Sure many would want to justify these building as the way they serve...at best it's passive service to the few who actually come, not even bothering to look for those in need. Then those church goers want to complain about the government being the source of charity, well they've been a shitty excuse for the charity you haven't been. No wonder the governments forcing you out.
