In this case...not so much

Nobody else was willing to step to the plate and put up money to prop up our auto industry. We would have had a fire sale with the workers paying the price and US automakers in foreign hands

The biggest problem with the US Auto industry is the UAW who makes twice what everyone else on the planet makes.

Bankruptcy would have allowed GM And Chrysler to kick the UAW's industry killing wages to he curb and renegotiate with the senior secured creditors.

Instead Obama fucked the Senior Secured Creditors, paid the UAW half a billion, will obligate the US Treasury to pay off UAW pension fun and gave the UAW 1/4 of the company.

Plus Detroit is a fucking shithole monument to what the UAW has done to our manufacturing base
