Born in Texas and lived in Iran where he attended an international school, CAPT Kavon Hakimzadeh spoke Farsi and English, and kept faith of his Southern Baptist mom, uncles, and cousins. He enlisted in the Navy and got an NROTC scholarship, graduating Carnegie Mellon University. He became an E-2 Hawkeye Naval Flight Officer.
Now, 40 years later, he’s the captain of one of America ‘s mightiest battle platform.
