Everybody agrees NAFTA was a horrible deal for the US....just take a look at our trade deficits since it passed. Everybody agrees that Lighthizer did a masterful job cajoling and arm-twisting to produce an agreement all three countries could live with and thrive. Everybody except Fancy Nancy, the doddering old commie hag perched in the Speaker's chair. She won't give Trump a victory. She doesn't care what it costs in jobs and commerce in our favor. She couldn't care less what happens to ordinary Americans...she despises us, despises you. All that time and effort wasted because this menopausal witch loathes America. :eusa_eh:

Vote her out San Francisco.....what the hell is wrong with you people?....

This is the end of her....even her committee chairpeople are sick of her autocratic ways. When it becomes clear she must allow a vote, the squad will tear her apart...

What NAFTA was:

The goal of NAFTA was to eliminate barriers to trade and investment between the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The implementation of NAFTA on January 1, 1994, brought the immediate elimination of tariffs on more than one-half of Mexico's exports to the U.S. and more than one-third of U.S. exports to Mexico.

President Trump's post-NAFTA economic vision is working. Keep it up: Today's talker

NAFTA was two things.....a lowest-labor dollar possible for the Fortune 500 and the Rat's goal of deindustrializing North America. 60.000 factories closed by these fucking creeps....what kind of people do that to their country?

This is “the biggest trade deal in the United States’ history,” Trump erroneously said from the White House Rose Garden Monday morning, celebrating the last-minute conclusion of three-way talks that will salvage a $1.2 trillion free trade bloc that has been under threat since his election. (The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Trump killed included the NAFTA countries plus nine others.)

I have no idea where you're coming from....the TPP was garbage, NAFTA is garbage, the WTO is garbage. Trump wasn't "erroneous" about anything....a China deal will dwarf USMCA but until there is a China deal, USMCA will be the biggest deal we're in or want to be in....PERIOD.

Everybody that has looked at the USMCA knows that it is nothing more than a few tweaks to NAFTA and a pretty new name.

And there was giant sucking sound as high productivity jobs went south, and then not long after the Mexican economy collapsed and had to be bailed out by the U.S. Yes, it was a wonderful deal all around. The U.S. even had to pay for building the infrastructure for the maquillas for them, power plants, roads, water systems, etc., otherwise the American companies wouldn't move.unless they were subsidized, Mexico was such a 'great deal'.

Total utter crap. Most factories went off shore because your corporate masters didn't want to pay US workers US hourly rates. Also, automation has had much more of an effect on closing factories than any trade deal.

That's always the "great deal" for the internationalists, American taxpayers pay others to rape our economy. Trump, on the other hand, puts America First and fights FOR The American Worker.

Well as Obama was ending his Presidency, certainly MFG wasn't seeing much growth:
