How is it determined, or who is it that determines how many rep points a USMB member receives when someone gives them a positive rep.

USMB has an algorithm that tracks how often a particular poster pos reps me, "Ravi." The more times a poster has repped Ravi, the higher the rep points they receive when they are repped.

Xotoxi and I made a few tweaks.

Now every posrep for Ravi enters you into a pool for a random ban.

You also receive one rep for every 1000 posts.

So that's why Xotoxic starts all those moronic threads...

you get the total number of points that the repper has for a pos rep and half that much taken away for a neg rep.

So if you keep your rep low bad reps doesn't take as much away.

So if you keep your rep low bad reps doesn't take as much away.

If I give you a positive rep you would get 72 points, every 1000 points gives you one additional rep point.

If I give you negative rep you lose 36 points.

And I believe you pick up one positive rep for every 1000 posts.
