There is a lot more to this article than what I copied here. If you use Google from a public or shared machine, you may want to read this.

New Google Search Tool Poses Security Risk

By Associated Press

NEW YORK — People who use public or workplace computers for e-mail, instant messaging and Web searching have a new security risk to worry about: Google's free new tool that indexes a PC's contents for quickly locating data.

If it's installed on computers at libraries and Internet cafes, users could unwittingly allow people who follow them on the PCs, for example, to see sensitive information in e-mails they've exchanged. That could mean revealed passwords, conversations with doctors, or viewed Web pages detailing online purchases.

"It's clearly a very powerful tool for locating information on the computer," said Richard M. Smith, a privacy and security consultant in Cambridge, Mass. "On the flip side of things, it's a perfect spy program."

There was a interesting story about google news. It contained more positive stories about president Bush then Kerry. This could not have been due to human factors, because it a program the searches for the news stories to put on it’s news web site.
The only other explanation was that the GOP had the tech advantage.

What do you mean....Al Gore invented the internet!

Yeah, and according to Lolita the computers at my work place were made just for Democrats. Poses quite a problem for a lot of people out there.

No, the explanation is that there is a thing called "The New Media" which exists on the Internet and is conservative. It operates on the principles of a free market because conservative media don't have the likes of George Soros to underwrite it. So the New Media has to appeal to people or go broke. The reason why the New Media is so popular is that there is a market of millions of people who want a conservative viewpoint (Rush Limbaugh alone has an audience of 20 million). As opposed to the New York Times, Network TV, PBS, NPR and all the left leaning "mainstream" media.

The New Media is a grass roots movement if ever there was one. Unlike the elitist media which is the tool of Park Avenue Leftists and their wannabe followers.

If I'm a typical consumer of the New Media, then we are mostly working class types, who have a strong sense of values, family is important to us, we are public minded, don't like conformity and pretense and really don't like phonies (like JFKerry). We value the truth, honor and strength of character. And we are for the little guy (and gal).

Power to the People ... Right On!

Regardless the reasons the Dems are falling behind in the Tech race. Pretty obvious on USMB.
