PS. GM and Chrysler are corporations too. So like the bankers, they got bailed out too. But the car companies don't own us like the bankers do, so we were able to insist that we get ownership so we can recoup some of our money. But they are still laying people off, the union has no power, they're still cutting pay and sending jobs overseas.

I just sent out a letter to 300 of my professional constituents giving the names and addresses of our senators to oppose this national take over of 6% of our economy. Health care needs reform but the reform needs to occur in the private sector and not result in a National Take over.

You Obama supporters have one of three choices when discussing your role in that election. You can either tell them why you thought selling off yours AND their freedoms for the "privilege" of electing the first black President was far more important than the lasting, truly damaging legacy the man will leave. Or tell them why you, like Obama -prefer a government with FAR more expansive powers, how it is SOO much better at doing just about anything over the private sector, one that is much closer to totalitarianism than the founders ever intended to create, one so intrusive that government has passed legislation about how long you may even shower in the future -by law all new showers installed after whatever date MUST shut off after three minutes. Oh yeah, making sure we all get out of the shower after 3 minutes is the proper role of the federal government! Only if you love totalitarianism that is.

Tell them how you actually believed Obama when he promised THE most transparent government in history but then immediately went about making it THE least transparent of all -which we all know INSURES a corrupt government that cannot be held accountable by voters -or tell them why it is far better to have a government that operates in the dark where the people actually running things are people whose names you don't even know. Either tell them you were SHOCKED that this guy's politics were nothing what you expected -but only because you were too lazy to find it out before casting an uninformed vote, perfectly willing to make all Americans suffer for your ignorance. Or tell them how you got right behind the idea of having some faceless bureaucrat take away your right to make your own medical decisions entirely, usurp your doctor's role entirely and make ALL medical decisions for you - rationing your healthcare and deciding whether or not you can even receive medical treatment at all. Because hey, it is liberals now insisting it isn't government intrusion if government decides what medical treatment I am "allowed" to get. It is only unacceptable government intrusion if government would try to prevent one person from killing the most immature of human beings on the grounds that their very existence is merely INCONVENIENT to them.

Or do you really think it was also just a coincidence that nearly all of the GM dealerships that were closed were NOT the ones that were least profitable -but those in heavily Republican areas and some of the MOST profitable ones? That only makes sense if you think the proper role of government is for the sitting President to strongarm this company into punishing those dealership owners most likely to have not voted for him! And now that unemployment is more than 10% in at least 16 states and expected to go at least that high in all the others shortly, you still believe the ObamaOne now that he claims he did NOT say that bill was to CREATE the millions of jobs he claimed, but that it would merely SAVE existing ones? The corruption in DC is blatant now -and only getting worse now that the Obama administration has literally BILLIONS of unaccounted for being tossed around with zero oversight and accountability whatsoever.
