even if Germany had defeated and occupied Great Britain and theSoviet Union, and Japan had conquered China.

Because we had an unassailable land base, mighty industrial production, huge population - and were angry

You're right!

Allies found paperwork indicating that Germany set its goal to go after America after it finished dominating Europe including Moscow.

With Japan, we didn't have a choice after Pearl Harbor. It was them or us.

Despite being lead by an insane butcher (which was their ultimate downfall), Brits and Americans often forget that the Third Reich was the allies' most capable adversary to date. They were our technological equals, too. And in some areas were several strides ahead of us. Most importantly, they were ahead of us in guided rockets, and, more worryingly, they were developing atomic warheads.

Despite their reputation for unashamed genocide, the Nazis fielded a formidable military that rolled over Europe and parts of Africa in six months. They caught the largest empire the world has ever seen unawares, and sent us packing from France with our tail firmly between our legs. They were a force to be reckoned with, and if they hadn't pushed into Russia, they would've had the resources to hold the beaches of western France from allied invasion.

It's difficult to imagine them invading America due to the enormous logistical effort that would entail, but if they hadn't invaded Russia and they'd eclipsed the Manhatten Project, it's very possible that they could've driven a very, very hard bargain in Washington.

The 3rd Reich didnt have any surface navy to speak of.

USA would have taken care and nuked Japan just like they actualy did -and their forces - first to liberate Britain - and from there -launch a D-d ay, liberate Europe, and the Nazis probably would have given up in Russia.

Am thinking around 1948 or so.

US had broken economy and next to "0" experience of fighting a full scale war (Cowboys and Indians do not count).

Yes, they did.

The 3rd Reich had the Bismark, (sunk) the Tirpitz (in hiding) theGraf Spree (scuttled) and not much else.

The USA had about 50 aircraft carriers, 4 Iowa-class battleships, hundreds of cruisers and destroyers , subsetc -the greatest most awesome Navy that ever sailed the seas - incl the Royal Navy.

It would have been the same outcome - except around 1948 instead of 1945, and there would have been no Korean or Vietnam or Cold Wars.........................................................

Germany underestimated Russia, just as Japan underestimated America. In both cases it was untouchable Industrial might that was victorious. It's kind of hard to beat someone, when you cannot get at their Industry which was steadily churning out replacement tanks and airplanes, instantly offsetting those lost in combat.

The Tirpitz was also sunk.

Comic -book attacks on the USA mainland. The best the Axix could do. And there were some sabotogue atttempts. They were caught and fried.

A movie was made after it - "1941."

Hitler never thought about what to do about America aftetr he conquored Britain and the Soviet Union.

Didnt have the foggiest.

He was a surprised as anybody about Pearl Harbor.

Germany underestimated Russia, ....... it was untouchable Industrial might that was victorious.

Germany suffered its first defeats when Soviet industry in the affected by war territories was practically destroyed, and in the East of the country it was not re-built yet.

The decisive factor in all conventional wars is the spirit of the population under attack, not the
"untouchable Industrial might".

We also had nuclear bombs.

So after Hitler congured Britain and the Soviet Union - which didnt happen = it was like" now what??

he totally disssed America

He took them more serious after America punked his Jap alliies the Pacific

Bit I still dont think Hitler ever respected or feared the United States

Indeed. I really wonder where those people who think the US would have eventually won think the invasion would have been based out of.

Look up "chronology" in a dictionary. Then, check the word "logic".
