US warships head for South China Sea after standoff

Sending three war ships to offer China help in finding their plane. Three war ships to me sends a strong message. In one instance you say when Bush did it it wasn't a show of strength. But Obama doing the same thing is?

The 3 warships from Bush didn't have a purpose because Bush knew where his spy plane was, it seems more like a desperate act. The warships had no purpose, no effect on China.


Obama sends warships that will protect US ships, warships that will prevent harrasment of other US ships in the future. The warships clearly have a purpose and have a clear effect on future actions of the Chinese government.
