US going into another recession? Some think so...

We say there is a better chance that Aliens will come out of the sky and beam us to the promised land than this happening.
Why? Because the government is to corrupt and does not in any way have the forethought or guts to actually cut the spending. Never happen.

So what do you think will happen with the budget politically? And what would be your economic forecast for 2013?

I think if the current circumstances do not change in terms of leadership in Washington, and the current tax hikes that are on the books now actually take place, then I'd say a recession or depression is all but certain. Add to that the very real possibility of a war erupting in the middle east and the chances for a successful terrorist attack against us somewhere, and a global recession that is already underway, I don't see any way around it. Won't matter who wins the election if these things happen, we're still in for rough ride next year and for a few years after that.
