US drought levels reach record lows!

Dang........and how many times have we heard in this forum from the AGW religion of the disaster that will be brought on by rapidly increasing drought conditions?

Last year the manmade climate models called for heavy rain on the west coast. Got half of normal. This season the manmade climate models called for below average rainfall. Some areas of the west got 3-4 times the normal average.

From the OP:
At its driest point, in September 2012, 20 percent of the nation experienced what climatologists deemed "extreme" drought.
We're in a wet spell right now (as in 2010), and can expect another bout of 'extreme' drought as the el Nino continues to fluctuate widely, thanks to GW

The weather channel drought monitor shows zero. Wouldn't you think the radical environmentalists would celebrate like the rest of us? Nope.

Whatever you say s0n!

Thing is, you look at US drought maps going back to 1890, you have periods of drought, and periods of very little drought. Sometimes up..........sometimes down. No need to elaborate.

Why yes, no droughts at present. Only the opposite extreme.

One of the primary predictions of global warming is wide and wild weather swings, with an overall all warming. We see this on the East Coast with the wild winter storms, yet between the storms, often very warm weather. Now many areas seem to fluctuate between exteme drought and extreme precipitation events. Going to get even more interesting in the future.

meh..........the whole world knows there is natural variation in the climate............floods increase, floods decrease.........drought increases, then decreases. Same with hurricanes etc..........been going on since the beginning of time. But not to the religion.

And actually, 25 recent papers confirm: the modern climate has been remarkably stable :bye1: >>
