Showtime is running a series of documentaries of U.S. history. Tonight is "the rise of the right",Ronald Reagan's presidency. Last night they showed Kennedy's Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis, his assassination and his plan to get out of Vietnam. I think JFK's plan to get out of Vietnam was the real reason he was murdered, because the military industrial contractors were making too much money to let it end. And the right wingers, like FBI director George Bush and J. Edgar Hoover couldn't tolerate a liberal take over by the Kennedy's.

Night before last, they showed Harry Truman's presidency, and how Truman used the nuclear bomb just to demonstrate the superior power of the U.S. military over the Soviets. He killed a half million civilians, even though the Japanese were already defeated. Truman was compared to Hitler. Truman was also a bigot that used the "N" word whenever he reffered to black people.

One thing you can count on with left leaning documentaries is that they avoid editorial judgement of democrat administrations but they are free to editorialize republican administrations. In another words the Kennedy years are illustrated without criticism. In reality the Kennedy brothers should have been run out of Washington. America should never, ever allow a president to appoint his own brother as A.G. to cover his backside. The media and J. Edgar knew about JFK's ties to organized crime and his brother was appointed to cover his ass. Instead of prosecuting criminals Bobby spent his time devising plans to murder the leader of a sovereign country. Like it or not Castro was the legitimate leader of Cuba. The Kennedy brothers violated a ton of laws when they decided to authorize the CIA to raise, train and equip a freaking invasion army to overthrow Castro. True to form the Kennedy brothers chickened out at the last minute and the invasion force was slaughtered at the Bay of Pigs. No wonder Kruschev assumed that the American president and his brother were dilettante fools.

The Untold History documentaries were very critical of JFK's Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis. They didn't give him a pass. But cons can't bring themselves to face the truth about the crimes of their own messiah's, like Nixon and Reagan. The cons are always talking about impeaching Obama, but they forget the words of their hero Nixon, when he said, "When the president does it, it's not illegal."

What administration in history would tolerate unverified stories from an undisclosed "informant" who's identity was kept secret until he was dead and couldn't verify the information? The Nixon administration was brought down by a one sided media and the son of card carrying communists who was taught to hate Nixon. Reagan was accused of violating an amendment slipped into a military appropriations bill by a left wing congressman named Boland. The amendment made no sense but it was all the democrats had at the time.

as usual,whitehall demonstrates his ignorance ignoring the fact that it was Nixon as vice president under Eisenhower who authorized the CIA to raise,train,and equip an invasion army to overthrow castro.That Kennedy inherited the bay of pigs invasion from Eisenhower,that the plan they presented to kennedy to invade was vastly different than the one they presented to Eisenhower. and that the CIA lied to kennedy from the very beginning saying they would not need air support when they in fact knew from the very beginning they would need air support which is why kennedy fired allen dulles and richard bissel afterwards which was unprecedented beforehand for a president to do that.

the only thing he got right in his laughable ramblings is that its true that a president should not have been allowed to appoing his brother the attroney general back then,thats why that law changed since then.

No doubt JFK's plan to get out of vietnam is why the CIA and the military industrial complex assassinated him. JFK signed a document in oct 1963 that called for a complete withdrawal of ALL military personal by 1965 and he told his two closet aides dave powers and kenny o'donnel that he wanted to pull out of vietnam but he ould have to wait until after the reelection to do so after he got reelected because he would lose support from the american people and not get reelected if he pulled completely out before the election.

he had to look like he was totally against communisn and had a hard line stance against communism and was for the war so as apliciticn,he couldnt pull out completely before his reelection.once johnson got in office,two days later he signed a document that reversed kenendys policy and EXCULATED the war with the phony gulf of tonkin incident.

I've only watched the first few episodes but I think the most defining moment in US history is the hijacking of the Wallace nomination by their own party for Truman. I think the US would have been a different place had he became the President instead of Truman.
