University of Georgia (Athens): Student Raped on Campus; SIXTH Campus Rape Since August

Rape reported at Vandiver Hall, sixth one on campus - The Red and Black : News: rape, uga, vandiver hall, east campus, athens

Police received the report of rape from a University official Tuesday at 5 p.m., according to the email. A female student reported to the University official that she was raped by an unknown individual near the dumpsters outside of Vandiver Hall.

The victim declined to report the incident to law enforcement, according to the email. The rape was reportedly committed by a black man.


This reported rape is the 10th in Athens and the sixth on the University campus since Aug. 7.

Blacks cause most of the violent crime in this country. Blacks are more than 5 times as likely to commit forcible rape as Whites;
