First of all, nobody on this planet gives a shit about what the prime minister of australia has to say, when was there last war? He is just another friend of bush's, who knows nothing about how to fix iraq.

Secondly, arent the conservatives always ranting about how the liberals dont support the troops and that they constantly kill troop moral?!?! Howard is not the first person i have heard about saying stuff like this. I have heard so many republicans saying stuff like, "they are praying for an obama victory and a victory for the democrats". How do you think the troops feel that people back home are saying they cant win if obama gets elected, they cant win if the democrats win the white house?!?!? Whats the point of being out there if people are telling them they cant win?

The democrats are not saying we cant win, they are saying we can win if we set goals. We can fix what this administration broke. Our troops can win no matter who is in power, as long as they make the right strategic decisions.

I think we can finish the job in 1 year, and we will win. I seriously dont get why conservatives want our troops over there to occupy and live if we dont have goals and serious benchmarks for the iraqi's. Are we going to call it the 51st state? I know how to fix iraq, i really do, either send every single troop we have and create a military lockdown. Or get every single troop out by next year depending on if the iraqis meet there goals. Also divide the oil equally among religous groups. Ask for help from kuwait, ask for boarder troops from surrounding countrys. Negotiate with surrounding country's to at least build the bridge of communication. That was easy, too bad i cant run for president, im not an evangelical. And god does'nt tell me to invade small countries.

Saving American Lives? Not in my Name!
A surprised interviewer got a glimpse at the face of true evil last week when Vice peeResident SElect Dick "Torquemada" Cheney, whose daughter is a lesbian, boasted that he would dunk a terrorist in water if it would save "American lives" of all things.

American lives? I cannot place enough exclamation points at the end of this sentence to adequately express my outrage!!!!!!!

Put aside for a moment that fact that American lives are not Cheney's to save; but are they even worth saving? Does a society that would sanction the dunking of an innocent terrorist for the sake of self-preservation even deserve to exist?

As a patriotic liberal who spent the weekend vainly hoping his underwear would dry through his pants, I couldn't live with myself knowing that somewhere out there someone was going through the same unspeakable torture just to protect the lives of people who are vastly inferior to me. I encourage other progressives who feel the same way to join their shrill voices with mine and demand that that no more terrorists are dunked, doused, drenched, or moistened in our names.
