Union Boss salaries- They have a lot in common with the people they represent

Yes, I had a union representative when I was young, immature, foolish, stupid and unsure of myself.

Then I grew up and did not need one, not that having one ever benefited me in any way.

at least you're not young and immature anymore. That has exactly shit to do with Union Reps tho

No self-respecting mature adult with an IQ higher than his/her shoe size needs a union thug to "represent" him/her.

Yeah, I see you have no idea what they do. Heres a hint, it has nothing to do with maturity or intellect. I see you are still foolish and stupid tho

Name one union head who increased productivity or reduced costs for the industry he was in.

Why is that their job?

Incidently, my brother is a Sheet Metal worker who recently did a distribution center for Wal Mart. They completed their part on time and ahead of budget because they knew what they were doing.

Again, you jokers have this completely in reverse. We do not exist to serve them.

Well yeah, kinda. BEcause if they aren't doing that, they aren't insuring that the company employing their members can continue to pay out wages and benefits.
And if they aren't doing that, what are they doing to justify their enormous salaries and expenses?

Their only function is to make sure that their guys are getting a fair shake.

Making the company profitable is the business of management.

And frankly, the reason why we are dragging so far behind, is why we are failing. I've worked for companies where the bosses treated the employees like shit and ones where they were pretty decent to them. Guess which ones people worked harder at?

Why the right thinks that corps will treat workers right just because flies in the face of history. They won't stop until every worker is like that kid who says "please sir may I have another". And their solution is "if you aren't being treated right go find another job"

That's cool until corps run everything. Then where do you go? The answer is "please sir may I have another"

Yeah, Hiss No Mah Job Mon!
Union attitude. Sucks.

I looked at one of the Union boss's websites. He declared war on Republicans.

I don't think Unions are any longer a haven for free thought and speech.

I'm sorry it has come to this.

I dont think you think at all. Please show the connection between one Union boss war on republicans and the destruction of free thought and speech within unions. Go ahead  I cant wait to hear this

"making the company profitable is the business of management"
And when they do their job making the company profitable you are the first to label them as greedy fucks for doing their job.

Best Buy founder resigns as chairman after CEO probe - CBS News

Dunn was a 28-year company veteran who had been head of Best Buy since 2009 until he resigned in April after the board launched the investigation into his personal conduct. His severance package includes a 2012 bonus of $1.1 million, stock grants of $2.5 million, a severance payment of $2.9 million and more than $100,000 for unused vacation.

Yup. Resign in disgrace for banging a girl young enough to be your daughter, collect nearly 7 million in severance...

Yeah. If he had been the President this never would have happened.

If Clinton had done what this guy had done, the GOP might have actually had a case.

But that's the point, isn't it? You guys were ready to lynch Clinton for what fat rich Republicans do every day.

The companies that perform the best is when every employee has skin in the game.....where profitability is a goal of every employee. Any issue of "fairness" is ultimately corrected by the market. This notion ought to be shared by and among unions; and, I believe that is the case with most union members. As for union bosses, their livelihood and lifestyle hinge on executive management and employee relationships be contentious. What would happen if union members determine that the role of the traditional union boss to be obsolete? It's the same mentality that keeps the race hustling industry moving.

Banging a subordinate? Gets you fired every time. Except if you're Bill Clinton and protected by a fawning press and the so-called feminist movement.

"fair share" is determined by the owners of the company.
Under capitalism that is.

Sounds like a good reason to get rid of capitalism and replace it with democracy, then.

Um, capitalism is an economic system, democracy is a political system. You can not replace capitalism with democracy since they are two different things entirely.

Capitalism:

an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market

Capitalism - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Democracy:

a: government by the people; especially: rule of the majority b: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections

Democracy - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

I suppose maybe you want every Tom, Dick or Harry to vote on whether or not Apple Computer does a stock split?

No, he means a system where people get to vote on who gets what spoils. The result is the have nots always vote themselves everything from the haves.
That isn't a democracy. That isn't capitalism. That is the "dictatorship of the proletariat." And the result is poverty and misery for everyone.

Actually, that is pretty much what I said. The stock split example could very well have been one of dividends all going to card carrying members of the Socialist Party.

Yup. He had a 'D' by his name. And that's all that counts with the usual suspects. The dude is a sexual harasser pervert. Yet he's worshipped like a God by so-called 'Feminists.' But what do you expect? These are the same wingnuts who worship Ted Kennedy and John Edwards. They're very dishonest people.

I disagree with your characterization. It is unfair to the merely dishonest. They are the biggest fucking hypocrites to walk the planet. They claim not only that they represent one thing but don't, but they also accuse anyone who disagrees with them of being exactly what they in fact are.

Newt Gingrich?

Join a Union if you want. Just don't force others to. Many want to keep as much of their hard-earned paycheck as possible. Their Families come first. Paying off Union Bosses along with Big Brother every week, can take a sizeable bite out of peoples' paychecks. Unions need to end their thuggish coercive tactics. No one should be forced to join a Union. Let the People decide. That's the American way.
