Unequal distribution of wealth

Those on SSDI that can work.
According to who? You? You are able to certify each one as being able to work? Or are you just taking Rush Limbaugh's word that they are?

Those that get food stamps, housing assistance, free medical care, free day care, WICK, subsidized energy assistance and free cell phone minutes would be moocher class.
Every one of them is a "moocher?" You know that to be a fact? If so, how do you make such determinations?

Under yout theory since it is okay for government to bail out business then it is okay to fund lazy moochers.
What I stated is not theory. It is documentable fact.

The amount of "bailout" money handed over to Wall Street and banks, the CEOs of which continued to take home $multi-million bonuses, is infinitely greater than the total cost of all aid programs. But you haven't a thing to say about that. Your concern is the "moochers" whom you cannot identify but whom you simply assume are malingering without even knowing who they are.

I will concede the aforementioned "ten percenters" always have been with us and always will be with us. But unless you wish to exterminate them no one has ever figured out a way to be rid of them. So to just broadly assume all recipients of aid are "ten percenters" and are unworthy is thoughtless, mean-spirited, and simply wrong.

I do not listen to Limbaugh but it is obvious you worship Karl Marx.
If you do not know at least 20 people on SSDI that do not deserve it you do not live in the real world.
In fact most everyone I know on SSDI could work at something.
And get this Moe, your kid can be labled ADD and get it.

Again, your logic that since one idea is bad that gives out government money then we should fund every bad idea is absurd.
Please tell us Mike you have something other than those fairy tales to offer.

Just as the IRS knows ten percent of those eligible to pay taxes are evading, the same ratio can be applied to recipients of aid. But if you know for certain that someone whom you can identify is fraudulently receiving aid of some kind, why don't you report that individual? But the thing is you don't know. You just "know." And you know this because you are tuned in to the right-wing propaganda network which you choose to deny.

What I find most interesting about you and other hate-filled neo-Conservative fanatics is your vitriol is focused on an imaginary legion of so-called "moochers," relatively few of whom exist in the real world, but you totally ignore those moguls of Wall Street and the banking empire who just stole more than a trillion dollars of our money, yours and mine, by demanding government either hand that money over to them or they would collapse the economy. That was boldface extortion of an amount that vastly exceeds the collective total doled out to recipients of all forms of aid in recent years. Yet you ignore that theft as if it didn't happen while baring your fangs at a category of citizens the vast majority of whom are best described as pathetic and defenseless.

What do you think that says about you to anyone with enough intelligence to objectively assess the situation?

WASHINGTON, D.C.--The 400 highest-earning taxpayers in the U.S. reported a record $105 billion in total adjusted gross income in 2006, but they paid just $18 billion in tax, new Internal Revenue Service figures show. That works out to an average federal income tax bite of 17%--the lowest rate paid by the richest 400 during the 15-year period covered by the IRS statistics.

Mike, do you know that MOST of the financial bail out $$$ was to keep annuities, savings accounts, pension distributions, retirement dividend payments and such coming on a monthly basis. All the banks and financial institutions did was administer the programs.
Almost all of that $$$ was mishandled by those institutions but it was THE INVESTORS, the retirement funds, the annuities to school teachers and such that would have suffered with NO bailout.
Every piece of bundled mortgage investments, a terrible idea and investment for sure and I agree the commissions on those were basic fraud, was from some kind of investment portfolio from ordinary middle class Americans. They would have taken the biggest hit without the bailout.
Which Democrats specifically pointed out in the hearings on this.
And then you and your commie friends would have bitched and moaned about how terrible it was NOT to bail out the financial institutions.
How is playing both sides of the fence Mike?

Then how come Dermocrats are opposed to any changes in the tax code?
Most of these folks invest in tax free municipal bonds.
So you favor eliminating the ability of communities to seek investors for needed infrastructure repairs, to build new schools and other community investment and then offer those investors tax free returns on those civic investments?
What do you propose? Specifically. Are you for or against changing the tax code to eliminate investors getting tax breaks on municipal bonds or not?
And how come liberals oppose changing this law?
Raise the tax rates and all the wealthy put their $$ in these types of investments.
Hint to the dumb masses: Raising taxes never raises enough $$ to cover bad spending habits.
WELL DUH!

The fundamental reason for the bailouts was was fraud and systematic misconduct in the banking and finance industries, none of which has been prosecuted. Instead, the perpetrators of the fraud and misconduct are living like royalty and thumbing their noses at those they robbed.

But the point of this discussion is your focus on a relatively small number of pathetic characters who are getting away with the pettiest kind of fraud while ignoring the perpetrators of the greatest rip-off in the history of crime. Let's pay attention to these examples of criminal royalty then we can go after those who are getting away with some food stamps or some help with an electric bill, etc. -- none of whom I can assure you will be vacationing on the French Riviera when subpoenaed.

Sure are a lot of employers looking to hire people that have been injured and are now recieving Social Security Disability Income. Are you hiring these folks cause I know a guy that needs a job?

And in case you missed it, everybody in this country gets health care coverage. All you need to do is show up at the emergency room and presto, you have health coverage. What is the problem? You can do it to.

And you are right. With a minimum wage job, 30 - 35 hours a week. Plenty of money to pay for child care. Or they could just quit their job cause no one would take care of their kids for 25 dollars a week.

And I hate it that old people get help with their heating and cooling costs. Free loaders that worked most of their lives and now expect YOU to pay for their heat. I say let em freeze orbake. What ever. How about you. Freeze or bake?

But the part about cell phones is the kicker. I can't believe that cell phones fall under that law of universal access or something like that. Everyone knows that those phones are not free. And with the amount of my cell phone bill, someone is making out like a bandit.

But did you hear about the one trillion dollar farm subsidy bill that Congress passed?
Poor ole farmers. They need the help bad. Don't they?
Yeah...Typical bleeding heart liberal clap trap..."Oh waht are you getting so worked up about, it's a few dollars per month on your bill."..
Newsflash....Those little fees and charges add up....BIG TIME...The American people are sick of getting nickel and dimed to death with these sneaky hidden fees and taxes.
Universal Access does not mean "universal availability of a cell phone account"..
ONce again, a lefty thinks something says what it does not mean.
With you people, EVERYTHING falls under the category of 'entitlement'.
Bullshit.

I'd like to know why the unequal distribution of wealth is a bad thing. This seems to be a major premise from those on the left, but it's like you just assume it's a bad thing without every really providing evidence or justifying the premise.

It is neither good or bad. It is simply what it is. You work for what people want, and they reward you. You work for what people may not want, and they may or may not pay you. You do know work, and you get nothing...unless you are a member of that part of our society where such little contribution is gifted.

No see, that's why libeals think of communism as socialist utopia. The conservatives call it anarchy, because we do want SOME government, VERY BASIC government.
Utopian socialism = anarchy (positive view is from liberals, negative view from conservatives)
Liberals are the ones that want huge government, then when you as mention the USSR or cuba, they say communism hasnt been tried, because they think it is socialist utopia (ie no government, ie anarchy). That's why we laugh at socialist utopia, it's NOT POSSIBLE= and if it did happen, it would be CHAOS (ie no courts, public saftey or money as you point out)
And thats why commies and anarchists get together, because they both believe in the same thing for different reasons.

so to recap. Liberals love utopian socialism, conservatives dont and call it anarchy (because we realize we need SOME government)
Liberals understand how the Public creates the infrastructure, public education, and the regulations for the protection of health and justice that makes the Private, especially private PROFIT possible.

"Conservatives endorse massive fraud, primarily through the Pentagon, because the Decider scares them with fabels about terrorists, anarchists, and communists coming from the USSR and Cuba for their guns and bibles.

"VERY BASIC government begins with the principle that says each person carries equal weight in the conduct of public business, something conservatives often confuse with anarchy.
9/11 is a fable?
Look, you go one believing your nonsense if it makes you feel better.
None of it is true though.
Government is limited by the US Constitution. It should all go back to that.
Government should perform essential functions ONLY.
That would eliminate the need for approx HALF of the existing federal departments and of course half the number of federal workers. I think that is a great idea.
911 occurred because of US support for Israel's illegal occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, along with thousands of US troops stationed in Saudi Arabia. Some of us count the thousands of Muslim children killed by US bombs during the first Gulf War as contributing to the magical two planes toppling three steel-framed skyscrapers scenario.

Point out the Constitutional guarantees for corporate rent-seeking or using political connections to profit from high prices for what government buys (drugs) or excessively low prices for what government sells (mineral rights).

Cutting 50% of the US Empire sounds viable to me.
Is that what you had in mind?

Don't ...Just don't. For your own good, just stop it.
As a matter of fact....You'll see.
