Unemployment Rate Down To 8.2% A Socialist Victory Underway!

Mascale is right. A record high 88 million people out of the work force is indeed a Socialist victory.

88 million people out of work that's almost one third of the entire population. I guess kids are being counted and the seniors that don't work. I guess that's one way to count the unemployed, novel idea.
taking a page from the Chicken Littles and hiding the decline.

The release of information that unemployment is down to 8.2 but there is a record 88 million people out of work doesn't raise an eyebrow does it?

The only good news, is that there is an anti obama voting pool of 88 million people.

Interesting N'est pas?

Yep, this is the key, jobs aren't being created for those new to the job market or for those who have been displaced.

Only a democrat would recognize 88 million people out of work, a miniscule 120,000 New jobs added, and still think the real unemployment rate is 8.2.

Then you should be able to list all those policies and show us how they were actually implemented.

That's easy.

Increasing unemployment benefits, raising the minimum-wage, instituting a moratorium on drilling off of our coasts, attacking non-union businesses with lawsuits, etc.

It would be much harder to prove that Obama had anything to do with increased productivity or decreased unemployment.

That's funny. Cite the bills and cite the numbers as to how many jobs were lost because of them and then cite the sources that prove the job losses.

Fuck you. You're trying to oversimplify this. Jobs are created or lost according to the economy and all economies are local. Employers are always trying to figure out the bottom-line and the first cost-cutting measure is the work-force. If their overhead becomes too great because of outside influences they start cutting their workers. If wages go up too much or expenses go up too much they cut back or relocate.

I think maybe you need to take a course on economics.

To wit.....Obama has control over regulations. He also has the Department of Justice to enforce his radical agenda. And let's not forget the biggest impediment to expansion.....the EPA and the IRS. But the Dems greased the skids for this long ago when they took over Congress in 07'. Some of it began even before that when they used threats of racism to badger the GOP into allowing an annual increase in the minimum-wage.

When dealing with people that only want to sing praises, it works well. However; the truth stinks and those that matter - like lenders, investors, other accountants and the IRS - will call me on it. I don't try to challenge the people that "know" but it sure would look good to those that haven't a clue.

Obama continues to think the American people are stupid, no way could they be smart enough to figure out the manipulation of numbers. Too bad he's right about those die hard supporters of his.

Neither "side" should get too excited about these numbers. Today's jobs figures were lousy and disappointing. Also, conventional wisdom would indicate that the unemployment rate will tick up over the next few months if the economy is improving and people start looking again.

On the other hand, it's not impossible that, by November, the overall unemployment trend could be looking better. So both sides can spin this all they want, we really don't have concrete data right now.

The usual undercount of Established payrolls, following the Romney-Santorum-Gingrich-Bachmann-Paul-Paul, et. al., created crash and financial crisis: Was not matched with an uptick in the unemployment rate, which went down due to Socialist Intervention, as is usual.

Employment Situation Summary

Republicans famously now want to take all public spending, everywhere away. The Republican mantra is to take away all the fire and police responders, take away all the families who responded tothe World Trade Center collapse of the buildings, and to take take away even tax benefits for the middle and lower income parts of the market-place!

Mainly the Ivy League is celebrating: All the disaster all the teachers created! No Ivy League alum, enrolled, or employed will discuss the forecast of Matthew 25:14-30, and the Refundable, "Make Work Pay" Tax Credit of Matthew 20::1-16, wherein everyone got the more or less $400.00 per adult--even if they had not worked all the year.

The great Socialist intervention of Widespread Wealth Worldwide as taken away by the old, fat, white people--Cavorting about naked on other people's yachts, dumping treasure and other substance into the sea--instead.

And there you have it!

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Many on and off Lands of Many Nations already know that Early Times there are not forgotten! Drinking Establishment employment is a red-hot sector!)
The housing crash and financial crisis was dodds, franks, clintons and other dimwit fools fault, get that straight.

Ok, let's look at those 88 million people:
21,824,000 are 65 years and older, without any disability
22,487,000 are disabled (16 years and older)
11,669,000 are between 16 and 19 years old.
That's most of them taken care of right there.

Next, of those 88 million, they were asked if they wanted a job. 6.3 million said yes (down 79,000 from February).
Those were then asked if they could have accepted a job if offered and if they had looked for work in the last year. 2.4 million said yes to both (down from 2.6 million in Feb)
Those 2.4 million were then asked WHY they stopped looking. 865,000 said it was because they didn't think they'd find a job (down from 1 million in Feb)

So tell me again how dire that 88 million is.

So basically an entitlement minded work-force isn't really a work-force at all. It is just welfare waiting to get a check from the Democraps.

As bad as it is, it's not nearly what it's going to be. The EPA is shutting down power plants and the coal mines that supply them. As he promised, energy prices are going to skyrocket. Some businesses will have to close, unable to meet those costs. Not that coal fired plants are the only ones forced to close. The nuclear power plant at San Onofre is closed. Some parts were worn out. There's no money to replace them, and they can't get the permits anyway so it is closed permanently. The white house will release monthly reports about how the unemployment rate is falling, optimism is rising, confidence is being restored, even as the nation grinds to a horrible stop. obamabots will dutifully report how everything is so wonderful. Russia had a Potemkin Village, we're going to have a Potemkin nation.

It's not obama's fault. It's the earthquake, tsunami, the Supreme Court, Augusta Golf Course, republicans, Christians, Romney, Bush, Sarah Palin.

There is a war on women, dammit!

It's was pathetic.

Yeah, fuck all those retired people and students and disabled, they ALL should be working from the time they can walk to the time they die even if they can't walk.

No one said that.
Of course they did, otherwise they would have subtracted the retirees, students and disabled from the 88 million and used a more HONEST number. DUH!

LOL, I knew the liberals were jizz over this one. Yet the number went down, because the supposed unemployed NON-LOOKERS decided not to look, therefore the unemployment rate goes down.

Let me ask you this. Say you look your job (and I am giving you the benefit of the doubt, because I don't think your work)? Then you search and search, run out your unemployment, at that point or shortly thereafter you still haven't found a job. At that point the GOVERNMENT watchdogs say you have been looking too long now your considered a NON-LOOKER and not classified as unemployed! Since you looked so long we will essentially put you in the employed side!

Notice how since they can't use their "Gallup" rationalization any more they have to come up with an even stupider rationalization. Gallup has the unadjusted unemployment at 8.3%

Actual unemployment (U6) is 14.5%
Table A-15. Alternative measures of labor underutilization

....5 million fewer jobs than 2007.

Obama in 2009: If I can’t fix the economy in three years, you can call me former President Obama

That's an interesting number.

We lost 6 million jobs from December 2007 to May of 2009.

How much of that can you blame on Obama policies?

Obama in 2009: If I can’t fix the economy in three years, you can call me former President Obama

Government Hack: "Hey asshole you have been looking to long, you no longer count as unemployed. Since you looking so long you are a professional job looker, yea that is it, professional job looker, that sounds right. Since your a professional we will count you as employed. Now lower the unemployment rate."

The response of these unemployed person: "But I don't have a job, money and my house is in foreclosure, I want a job, but I can't even find any to apply to, how is that employed?

Government: "STFU, you are considered employed. Here is some scraps from the table to get by on a bare minimum (welfare) you don't need a job. Vote Democrat. You are now employed. Congrats."

Unemployed person: "I don't want welfare I wanted to work, count me as unemployed."

Government: "STFU racist, woman hating, homophobe!"

Yep these people don't count as unemployed, because if you been unemployed so long you can't be considered unemployed!

In March, 2.4 million persons were marginally attached to the labor
force, essentially unchanged from a year earlier. (The data are not
seasonally adjusted.) These individuals were not in the labor force,
wanted and were available for work, and had looked for a job sometime
in the prior 12 months. They were not counted as unemployed because they
had not searched for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey.
(See table A-16.)

Among the marginally attached, there were 865,000 discouraged workers
in March, about the same as a year earlier. (The data are not seasonally
adjusted.) Discouraged workers are persons not currently looking for
work because they believe no jobs are available for them. The remaining
1.5 million persons marginally attached to the labor force in March had
not searched for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey for reasons such
as school attendance or family responsibilities. (See table A-16.)
