Is anyone here surprised that they took an "unexpected" jump?

Vel.. now come on! That's the face of a recovery!! Just becuz Hussein Obama and the Zombie squad doctored the numbers before the election, that doesn't mean anything.. It's all lollipops and candy canes in librul Utopia Land..

Nobody needs jobs in the land of the free......phones, food, housing, healthcare, electric, "schooling" etc....

It's all for free. We're winding down that whole "work" thing so people can get on with more important things....like watching TV, and getting to the welfare office on time.

Hell. With this economy and Obamacare coming down the road I wouldn't hire anyone either.

I'd start laying off.

Celebration time here in America- HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT with reports DAILY now of employers laying off people due to OBAMUHCARE.. joy joy joy! The LIBRUL Utopia is here!! NO ONE HAS TO WORK!

WooooooT

Thank goodness, we extended the Bush tax cuts to those "job creators", eh?

How much good do you think it does to cut the tax rate if you add new taxes at the same time? Plus the cost of complying with a million new regulations. This is what you get when you elect someone who never even ran a lemonade stand.

LMAO and oh so true.

Hope I'm not around when the producers are finally outnumbered by the takers.

Should be a fun time in the good OL' USA.

IF it wasn't going to work, why did the GOP insist on extending the cuts? Just for fun?

Would you like to picture what the numbers would be if the tax cuts expired AND businesses were still hit with all the tax increases? Oh wait. We're probably fixing to find out.

Because the plan was to make Owebama a one term POTUS and roll back his destructive legislation.

That failed, so now America pays the price.

Get used to these sort of headlines:

So, you are claiming that the "job creators" DID create jobs?

Didn't Obama just run around the country claiming that 5 million new jobs were created on his watch?

ETA Press Release: Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report

It was not unexpected. Last weeks new claims would include all the people who couldn't file the previous week due to Sandy and the people who lost their jobs due to Sandy.

Oh, and it was a false rumor that CA hadn't reported
******************************************************
Some of the new claims, especially in New Jersey, were due to Hurricane Sandy--but these were offset by a decline in claims filed in New York. The highest numbers of new filings came from Pennsylvania and Ohio, where there were thousands of layoffs in the construction, manufacturing, and automobile industries.
Both states had been targeted by the presidential campaigns. President Obama highlighted his record of job creation in Ohio in particular, focusing on the automobile industry. The state reported 6,450 new jobless claims in the week after the election--second-highest after Pennsylvania, which recorded 7,766 new claims.
Surprise! Jobless Claims Up 78,000 Week After Election; PA, OH Worst Hit

I didn't say it was all do to the storm, but a lot of it was.

"A lot." But according to the information, it isn't. But whatever, right. Just make some facts up and hurl them out there.
