Just so we do not alarm the people, the sudden ourtageous rise in Unemployment Insurance claims last week was hidden but still released.

NOTE the real number in the UNADJUSTED NUMBERS. Nearly 600,000 in one week. If the public actually saw this they would panic. But sincethe Obama administration is keeping a lid on this, nobody will know and like sheeple they will buy in to the lower numbers.

And now, here are the headlines!! AMAZING how the Obama administration can keep the public bamboozled!!!

Stocks Head for Higher Start as Jobless Claims Fall- AP

A greater than expected decrease in new jobless claims and high-level efforts to get more Democrats to support the compromise on extending tax cuts gave Wall Street a boost ahead of the market opening.

* Jobless claims fall for second time in 3 weeks- AP

You know a President is doing a damn good job when he can keep the Sheeple grazing peacefully as the economy goes to hell around them.

You bring up valid points Neubarth but the most important question is:

Will Brett Favre start on Sunday?

And where were you last week when the SA number was +26,000 (causing panic) while the unadjusted number was -54,196? The adjustments even out, smoothing the curve and showing the real trend. For most of this year the SA levels were higher than the NSA levels...the SA curve is smoother, showing the general trend hidden by normal seasonal variations.

You have occasionally pointed out where the unadjusted numbers are more positive than the adjusted, but you usually gloss over and call the government liars no matter which way the difference lies. If the unadjusted numbers are worse, you claim it's proof the government is lying to make things seem better, if the undadjusted numbers are better, you claim it's proof the government is lying to make things seem temporarily worse so they'll look better later.

You also keep claiming it's important to look at the real trends, but dismiss out of hand the very methodology used to achieve it.

Cue claims of me being a liar without saying exactly what I'm lying about or any evidence of any untruths. Probably other insults as well. Though this may be one of the rare days where he actually attempts to address the issue

In the NHL, Sidney Crosby has a 17 game scoring streak going. Now that's what's really important.
