Understanding the difference between a cult and a coalition:

It seems many people on the USMB don’t understand the difference between a cult and a coalition.

Clearly I’m not able to explain it Properly.

Could somebody explain the difference in terms everybody could understand?

A Cult is a Faith-based group. One must be a true believer to be a member; outsiders are infidels who must either be converted or destroyed. (ANTIFA and other fringe Prog groups are secular religious cults.)

A Coalition consists of people who may have quite different belief systems, but agree to cooperate on a particular objective. They set aside differences in order to achieve that objective. Once completed, the coalition ceases to exist unless they take on a new objective. Common models of this are countries forming coalitions for a war effort.
