Under : IRONIC TWISTS we find: MERCY HEALTH FIRES 347 WORKERS DUE TO OBAMACARE

On this day when the SCOTUS again rubber stamps UnaffordableScare Act... we find this:

Mercy Health announced Thursday it will fire 347 workers due to “increasing challenges to our reimbursement structure as we adjust to reductions mandated by the Affordable Care Act,” the company said in a statement.
President and CEO of the Mercy system, Lynn Britton, said the Obamacare-induced layoffs are taking a toll on workers and their families.

“Changes such as these are difficult and distressing for everyone involved,” said Britton. “While our decisions support Mercy’s ability to stay strong and relevant in the face of challenges impacting all health care providers, today our thoughts and prayers are with those co-workers who are affected.”

Mercy Health’s firings will take place across the four states in which the health system operates, which includes Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Nationally, Obamacare remains deeply unpopular. The RealClearPolitics average of polls finds that just 43% of Americans support Obama’s signature legislative achievement.

Obamacare will cost U.S. taxpayers $2.6 trillion over its first 10 years....

Of course, you edit the comments to change the meaning. What the spokesperson really said: "Over the past decade, while we have made good progress in adapting to a constantly shifting health care landscape, the challenges we face require us to move faster than ever in keeping pace with change and meeting the evolving needs of our communities. Financially, Mercy faces increasing challenges to our reimbursement structure as we adjust to reductions mandated by the Affordable Care Act and other budget cuts, as well as the lack of Medicaid expansion in most of our states. Clinically and culturally, there continue to be opportunities to further standardize care and operational practices, in order to support the highest levels of quality and safety, as well as minimize the cost of variation." So, the failure of republican led states to expand Medicaid, budget cuts in republican led states also caused the layoffs. So fucking dishonest!

So you're wanting to deflect from the effects of socialists driving the cost of health insurance beyond the means of growing number of people to afford it? Even after it stripped subsidies for Medicaid and Medicare of causing the customary train wreck which follows socialist policy... (see: Greece)

That's understandable... Given that such is largey responsible for the shrinking representation of Leftists in US government.

Add the recent licensing of degeneracy by the Left in the judiciary and it won't be long before you idiots have no one representing evil anywhere in the US, so keep pushing scamp.
No, just commenting on you being s lying piece of shit.

Your concession is duly noted and summarily accepted.

Nobody has conceded to your nonsensical misinformed ideas. Two of the states in this particular Mercy system gambled in the attempt to sabotage the ACA and refused the medicaid expansion. Hence, as the spokesperson danced around, Mercy is unable to collect reimbursement from the federal government and large numbers of citizens remain uninsured or under insured in that systems leaving it to the hospitals to eat the losses.
