How is it that so many people have been trained, ....beaten into submission....willing to accept failure and ineptitude....and still claim not to recognize the mistake they've made- twice????

There is no objective standard, no metric, by which Obama is a success....not in domestic economic policy, nor in foreign policy.

Yet Democrat voters are willing to sell America down the river.

1. ".... the president’s fiscal legacy is largely already written, and it’s a story of failed leadership, broken promises, and a more burdensome government for the American people.

2. ....the national debt has nearly doubled, growing from $10.6 trillion to exceed $19 trillion. In dollar terms, this is the largest increase in the national debt in U.S. history.

3. Failed Leadership on Entitlement Reform. Back in 2008, when Obama was first running for president, he promised entitlement reform – to reform Social Security and Medicare – during his first term in office. The nation is still waiting for the president to keep that promise.

4. ....Obama used his presidential leadership to make things worse. .... the president pushed through Obamacare on a purely partisan basis. The new healthcare law’s exchange subsidies and Medicaid expansion increased federal spending over the decade by about $2 trillion.

.... the administration relied on a faulty budget score to claim that Obamacare would add not a single penny to the deficit, we now know that this is false and was never true to begin with.

5. A new report by the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations staff last week revealed that Treasury was intentionally misleading Congress about the administration’s debt limit plans, in order to “maximize pressure on Congress” to advance Obama’s political agenda.

It appears that Treasury officials and Obama were using the threat of default as a deliberate political tool in an attempt to push Congress to raise the debt limit on the administration’s terms." Obama’s Dismal Fiscal Legacy

Vote Democrat if you hate America.

We are still waiting for a Congress that is worth working with...But, evidently, you thought 1 Jan, 2009 was a great day for the economics of the USA, since we just finished two stellar presidential republican terms...

We were waiting for one in 09 too.

No party has a majority in economic backgrounds, it tends to lean more towards business to provide the ups and downs in the economy...

Economic policy has been a sham for decades. Don't act like its just obamas ass.
Ironic thing is, a lot of policies are the same as Reagan and bush sr..

Q: During the Clinton administration was the federal budget balanced? Was the federal deficit erased?

A: Yes to both questions, whether you count Social Security or not.

FULL ANSWER

This chart, based on historical figures from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, shows the total deficit or surplus for each fiscal year from 1990 through 2006. Keep in mind that fiscal years begin Oct. 1, so the first year that can be counted as a Clinton year is fiscal 1994. The appropriations bills for fiscal years 1990 through 1993 were signed by Bill Clinton’s predecessor, George H.W. Bush. Fiscal 2002 is the first for which President George W. Bush signed the appropriations bills, and the first to show the effect of his tax cuts.

6." .....Obama coupled an incredibly weak economic recovery with a more than trillion-dollar tax hike. By allegedly making the rich “pay their fair share” through the $620 billion (2013-2022) fiscal cliff tax increase, the administration really pushed for everyday Americans to sacrifice lower take-home pay for more government spending and intervention in their lives.

7. ....the Obama administration wants to increase the number of IRS employees by 11 percent next year, to more than 91,000. Targeting conservative advocacy groups, enforcing higher taxes, and assessing fines for individuals who lack health insurance apparently requires a lot of employees.

....Obamacare tax increases are now estimated to be more than $1 trillion over the next 10 years.

8. On the international tax front, .... the Obama administration resorted to .... tacking on additional regulations and financial penalties that make America all the less attractive to businesses across the globe.

9. If the Obama administration had its way, Americans would face another $1.7 trillion over 10 years in taxes and fees over the next 10 years, including a “fair share” tax, even higher capital gains taxes, reducing itemized deductions, increasing the tax burden on U.S. businesses operating abroad, a new bank tax, changing inventory accounting rules to tax inflationary gains, and raising estate and gift taxes, just to name a few.

10 .....Obama has made a bad fiscal situation unbelievably worse.....every Obama budget has advocated for higher spending and higher taxes....

.....Obama administration’s inability to address the nation’s key fiscal challenges...."Obama’s Dismal Fiscal Legacy

OP must be racist. As is anyone critical of The Great President Obama.

Moonglow - Waiting for a congress worth working with?!?!?! Are you kidding me? This is what happens when you elect leaders based on popularity, not leadership. Imagine if we elected ER Surgeons as weak as Obama; "oh, the patient is too bloody and the nurses too bossy, and...".

After the Bush disaster our nation needed a leader and we elected Urkel.

A leader is of little value in a democracy when the country is split between capitalists and socialistcommunists. Do you understand?

You would say that. Reagan was unable to lead? Johnson, Clinton, Roosevelts?

Did Lincoln have an easier time?

This issue has been argued to death. The budget was balanced if you don't include inter governmental borrowing. The debt increased every year of the Clinton adm. Besides many would argue it had more to do with the dotcom economy than Clinton.
And of course the right would point out it was with 6 years of repub control of congress. Giving Clinton the credit is way to simplistic.
