Unbelieveable Photo


this image was on the back page of the LA Times.


on my phone as a back drop I have the image below:


The... 1st Picture of Earth Moon. ...picture of the Earth and Moon in a single frame, the first of its kind ever taken by a spacecraft, was recorded Sept 18, 1977, by NASA's Voyager 1 when it was 7.25 million miles from Earth and directly above Mt. Everest (on the night side of the planet at 25 degrees north latitude). In the picture are eastern Asia, the western Pacific Ocean and part of the Arctic.

It's interesting that the photo caught the shuttle at just the right angle as to show the entire wingspan of the shuttle. Had the shuttle been at a different angle, we would not know it is the shuttle. Hmmmm. LOL.

thats for sure Chris.....i read that NASA and some partners are getting one ready that will replace the Hubble a few years from now that will make the Hubble seem like an old fashioned Telescope.....
 
So that's where my tax dollars are... floating in outer-space! That is a very interesting pic, but you really shouldn't stare at the sun...
