Some of you may have heard of the legendary lost city of Atlantis, a magical place that sunk into the ocean and was lost forever. Whether it truly existed or not, there are many real lost cities that have been discovered under our seas and oceans from Egypt to Jamaica. Let's explore some of these amazing underwater cities.

Port Royal
Port Royal is a town on the southern coast of Jamaica. Founded by the Spanish in 1494, it was the largest city in the Caribbean and became the shipping and commercial center of the Caribbean in the second half of the 17th century. However, an earthquake and resulting tsunami brought the Jamaican city to its end, submerging it beneath the sea in 1692. The ruins are still accessible today, with travelers able to dive and explore the lost city.

Yonaguni pyramids
Yonaguni Monument, underwater rock structure that was discovered in the mid-1980s near Yonaguni Island, Japan. The massive underwater rock formation is thought to have existed for more than 10,000 years. But whether it was completely man-made, natural or altered by human hands is still a matter of debate. The theory is that the ancient underwater city was probably sunk by an earthquake or tsunami around 2,000 years ago. Nevertheless, this massive pyramid draws curious scuba divers from all over the world for obvious reasons.
