Well most of the energy/heat does come from the sun, so it is very true. Also the orbit of the earth around the sun can have a huge effect, but solar output is GOING FUCKING DOWN. So global temperatures should be going down into a a cooling pattern. We will just have to wait and see around 2015 to see how that turns out.

How come you don't post record cold and snow as further evidence of "ManMade Global Warming"?

You keep saying these cold anomalies are to be expected as a result of "ManMade Global Warming" you should be consistent and post these things, no?

The arrogance and ignorance of human beings never ceases to amaze me.

To think that the activity of the Sun can be accurately measured over a period of even 100 years is laughable. In terms of the Sun, that is a fraction of a fraction of a nanosecond. To believe that we understand anything beyond the most basic observations of the Sun is arrogant and naive.

The only thing we know definitely about the Sun is that it will explode one day, wiping out Earth (if its still here) and everything else in the solar system. Everything else we have, all the data, all the hypotheses, all the "science," is nothing more than baseline data. There is nothing to compare it to. We don't understand it, we cannot control it, and so we run screaming into the streets that the sky is falling and its all our fault.

Its going to explode. It will wipe out humanity. It is warm and bright, and we circle around it every 365 days or so.

And that is truly the only things we know definitely about the Sun, or ever will in the next 10,000 years (still not enough time to gather useful data about an energy source as awesome as a star, even one as small as the Sun).

    Get the fuck over it.

Well the sun certainly dominates earth's climate.

But it's not the only thing effecting it.

Life has been helping to change earth's atmosphere and climate for billions of years, folks.

Wake up and smell the science

    How so Rocks?

Let me ask you a question.....

How close are we to the "surface" of the Sun, relative to this exact date, last year?

The answer is indisputable, yet there is no way to measure it.

Are we closer, farther, or the same distance from our star as we were in this exact position last year (or any other year, for that matter)?

Thats an easy one for Old Crock, based on Old Crock's distance from the Glacier he sees every morning he will be able to calculate the residing shadow and come up with a link that in indisputable.
