So the question never answered in this video is, after the Opium that our troops are forced to protect is grown where does it go?

And why are our tax dollars going to fight something we allow to grow and protect with our own troops?

I think Afghanistan is the largest producer of opium on the planet. It goes all over the world and the Taliban, Al Quida types make tons of money. My solution would be to dump salt from one end of the poppy fields to the other. But then the natives would not be able to plant anything else in it's place. Salt sort of kills things and makes the land pretty useless.
