We have never had a SOFA that does not include some form of immunity, to the best of my knowledge.

Yup but its a touch subject in Iraq, their still pissed about those Blackwater Contractors that killed 26 Iraqis in a firefight in the streets and they couldn't be prosecuted because they were not held under Iraqi or US Military authority, if Maliki gives our Troops immunity he will catch hell from Moqtada Al Sadr and the Iranians, plus leaving 10,000 US Troops in a hostile country like Iraq is a bad idea, they just need to be all pulled out.

Don't sound like the other party is to willing to have you stay- I say leave! When the end of the year comes move out.
