U.S. Set to Sponsor Health Insurance

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration will soon take on a new role as the sponsor of at least two nationwide health insurance plans to be operated under contract with the federal government and offered to consumers in every state.

.....Under the Affordable Care Act, at least one of the nationwide plans must be offered by a nonprofit entity. Insurance experts see an obvious candidate for that role: the Government Employees Health Association, a nonprofit group that covers more than 900,000 federal employees, retirees and dependents, making it the second-largest plan for federal workers, after the Blue Cross and Blue Shield program.

Obama is trying to transform it into nationalized health care.

. It is about setting up a system which encourages the end of employer based benefits. Then people start getting accustomed to huge subsidies from the government to pay for their healthcare. The cost structure of the ACA collapses with the addition of those previously on employer based healthcare. Then we will be offered the option of paying much greater portions of the insurance premium or going on single payer. Not much of a choice. Once on single payer people will figure out what rationing means.

-"Let insurers sell across states lines!"

-"All right, we'll let health insurance companies sell plans nationwide."

-"Wow, socialism!"

-"Wow, socialism!"

Where will the $100 billion a year in :
Federal taxes/State/Local taxes/social security/Medicare/workman's compensation/ unemployment insurance AND local property taxes
come from?
Has any recognized that the 1,300 health insurance companies that will go out of business because of this universal program ?
Who will pay for the 400,000 people that work or health insurance companies that will be unemployed?

Of course these are EVIL profit making companies and we need them destroyed right?

Again.. WHERE WILL the $100 billion a year they pay in taxes come from??? Where will the 400,000 employees go??

I don't think you're understanding this.

Classic strawman fallacy.

Please show us where this scenario took place anywhere.

And can you show us in the ACA legislation where the health insurance industry has been deregulated to the point EVERY health insurance company can sell insurance nationwide?

Do you even comprehend what free market competition is? I'll give you a hint: It isn't restricting all but two companies from competing nationwide. The government picking two companies IS socialism.
