U.S. President William McKinley likened Philippines campaign to civilising Crusade

Just like the English tried to civilize McKinley's ancestors

McKinley never "sought to annex the Philippines. As president he was stuck with the Philippines question after the Spanish American War. Would the Philippines have been better off as slaves of the Japanese Empire during the 20's and 30's?

William McKinley sought to annex the Philippines, assimilate its people. That campaign inspired Rudyard Kipling to write his iconic poem “White Man’s Burden” which was first published with the subtitle, “The united States and the Philippine Islands.”

William McKinley s Colonial Crusade in the Philippines
I always did like the use of the word assimilate when subjugate was the real case....

Does the ignorant left assume that free enterprise and the protection of the greatest Country in the world is the same as slavery under the Bushido Japanese empire of the 20's and 30's ? It's appalling how crazy the left can be when trying to rewrite history.

I am sure the Japs were just as harsh as McAurthor 's Dad....Yet Douglas had it easier...as the Philippines knew their place by the 1920's and 1930's..
