China is the largest receiver of exports from U.S. than any country which contributes to our economy. Caps for the Olympics is just a drop in the bucket of the imports we receive. Stop all imports from China will affect the exports from U.S. to China. Make up your mind, Harry. You cannot have your cake and eat it to.
Burn the caps? How childish and petty. Harry Reid, get over it already.

What that article is saying is that the Chinese are rich and buying up America which in turn is called "Exports". Pretty soon the dollar will be so worthless that while there will be plenty of food on the shelves AMERICANS WON'T BE ABLE TO AFFORD ANY OF IT!

I get a kick out of people who think money printing by the Fed won't affect the value of the Dollar.

devaluation of th dollar is the result of the trade imbalance and an attempt to boost exp[orts. The US consumer is not buying enough to spur the economy.

Percentages are often misleading since the two bases are so dissimilar.

Power generation equipment 10.8 volume Us exported to China
Power generation equipment 94.9 volume imported from China

Electrical machinery and equipment 7.2 exported to China
Electrical machinery and equipment 98.7 imported from China

Doesn't look so good when the volume is considered. We import ten times what we export.

We had a $300 billion trade deficit with China but our economy is $14 trillion. Also our economy is 86% domestic; only 14% is imported.
