The United States Army will be conducting the Eastern Endeavor 12, a joint military exercise that aims to support the Proliferation Security Initiative. The PSI is the initiative to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

The Eastern Endeavor 12 will be held on the 27th of this month, with the ROK army joining as a joint exercise participant. recently South Korea and Japan have been in conflict due to a terrotorial dispute regarding Dokdo, but since the PSI exercise is an international matter that requires attendance of both allied countries, South Korea and Japan will be fully committed to the exercise.

The exercise consists of arresting and examining several vessels that will be suspects for carrying WMDs. The operation will include scouting the naval area with scouting vessels and Lynx helicopters, and infiltrating the suspect ships by the special forces. PSI is an international cooperation effort that consists of more than 100 countries worldwide.

We must join in on this international effort, hand-in-hand with allies like South Korea to prevent the proliferation of terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.
