This won't be the first time a Texas legislator has proposed such a bill. There have been many. They never get anywhere, which is why the AZ bill's passage is so amazing (and wonderously beautiful!) to me.

Rick Perry was on the radio yesterday opposing it, saying he was quiet and moderate on immigration, while hard as a rock on border security. Good ol' Rick: old "I say I want it, then say I won't, then say . . .".
