"Wow" is all I can say! Blood libels plagued Jews for hundreds of years and caused many deaths. It says explicitly in the Torah that Jews are forbidden to eat or drink blood. It's one of the kosher laws. Beef and chicken are soaked and salted extensively to remove blood, while liver is broiled over an open flame.
