Yep, very good point. Both parties have pet constituencies they feel they have to protect, and they put those relationships above logic.

A net gain of 67 million people in 22 years. That's the entire population of France or UK It only takes 3 years to add a new "Sweden" (9.5 million inhabitants).

This is one of the main reasons why i hate U.S. vs Europe comparisons regarding poverty rates, inequality, etc. Completely different demographics.
