Two Blue Dogs Get The Boot

I know- cut taxes on the rich and destroy Medicare! LOL

Already happened:

It's insolvent in 2024:

The Medicare and Social Security Trustees report says Social Security and Medicare will run out of money sooner than anticipated. The annual report, which provides an update on the solvency and cost of the two entitlement programs, blames the sluggish economy for the changes.

The Hospital Insurance fund, which pays for hospital stays will run out in 2024, which is five years earlier than last year's report anticipated. The Social Security Trust Fund, which enables the payout of full benefits, will be exhausted in 2036.

To clarify: The Tea Party is not extremist. We want to restore fiscal sanity. The rest of Dems and Republicans alike are reckless.

Well, actually, you are the misdirected rage party... that's for sure.

A Koch Brother, a Teabagger and an SEIU member go into a resturant and the waiter brings out 12 cookies. The Koch brother wolfs down 11 of them and says to the Teabagger, "Hey, that guy wants half your cookie!"

Yes, it's sensible that we can't go on as we have. But when you have a 30 year policy of undermining the middle class while reducing taxes on the wealthy and making more people dependent on the government, are you really, really surprised you have deficits.

Imagine that...getting jumped for voting for the balanced budget amendment.

Good thing PA is going to send people who don't care about a balanced budget. The state already has enough issue as it is. Who needs a balanced budget ?

I mean, in the end.....according to Reid....who needs any budget.

The liberal hypocrite machine grinds on.

you don't seem to be too bright ... thats all dems ever try to do is balance the budget .... how does one balance the budget by cutting taxes passing bills without any money allocated for that bill ... thats the republican way of doing business j... ust charge up a huge debt ... then when the dems get in power lets complain about this high debt we have ... our base is dumb enough to buy it...

p.s
the only Hypocrite machine that is on, is coming from the right !!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Joe, you and you're Democrat whining about lessening taxes for the rich. I want much less taxes across the board. I want government out of our lives as much as possible and that means drastic cuts.

People will be plenty happy when their money means something again and they can earn it and not have big brother reaching his fat hand into the pot. I really didn't read your retarded joke. Or I skimmed it and wasn't sure how it was a joke. But to use your cookie analogy; it's fundamentally wrong to make 10 cookies and some random ass clown comes by and says I'm going to take 7 of them. Oh yea? What'd you do for that? Oh well I wrote you up a permit to allow you to make them. F that shiz. Of course there's a cookie monster out their handing out cookies to the lazy for votes and stuffing their fat f'ing faces with them. I'm not jealous of the dude with more cookies than me. I just want that fat fuckhead govt. to stop snatching everyone's cookies for starters.

Well, I'm sure you didn't get the point.

Yeah, guy, it's a real problem when 1% of the population has half the wealth.

The problem with lowering taxes across the board usually means that you have to raise them on someone else. Federal taxes go down, state taxes go up.

Of course, where you really get retarded is that when the Koch Brother hogs most of the cookies, eventually people start demanding the government provide them.

And this is the problem. You whine about socialism while making people dependent on government. Of course, the benefits YOU collect are totally deserved, it's those other welfare people who don't.

Another problem, which you are probably too retarded to understand. When you lower taxes without lowering benefits, you actually make the benefits more popular.

Look at everything we get, and we aren't paying anything for it. It's the fast road to socialism, bud.

Americans are on a budget, why isn't our government?

Why do Democrats hate fiscal responsibility?

Fiscal responsibility would be raising the taxes on the wealthy...

The real problem is, most of what is in the budget really can't be cut. We can't cut interest on the debt, unless we start running surpluses. We can't cut defense by much. We can't cut social security or medicare. At least not without radically changing them.

The Republicans never talk about these things.

Both parties are irresponsible on this matter.

Bump.

I still think about this everytime I hear about how the dems and Obama tried to work with the GOP.

Those who did work with the GOP got sent packing.

That is consistent.

Please explain why those who studied, worked hard, and became successful need to be made to pay for those who didn't study, dropped out, and don't work hard? Punish those who succeed. Brilliant! Forget the political parties, why not programs to make people more self sufficient, rather than just throwing Taxpayer money at them without giving them any chance for better lives. Raise the Taxes on the wealthy??? By all means Comrade... Why not flush the American Dream down the toilet while you are at it.

Yawn... the same tired, "But those rich people worked so hard..." crap you conservatards actualy believe.

Yeah, I mean I guess Paris Hilton worked really hard, and she totally has that tax break coming.

NOT!

I would love to see people get more self-sufficient. But frankly, that isn't what business is about today.

I would love if we had every able bodied American doing a renumerative job and making their own way. But let's be honest, the system isn't based on that. The closest we got to "full employment" was during the Clinton Years, and frankly, business hated that with a passion, having to offer really good salaries to people with thin resumes.

Now, here's the problem. After you crapped your pants at the notion of making the rich pay their fair share, you didn't read the rest of what I wrote.

What are you going to cut that is going to make a signifigant difference?

This chart shows what we are spending in FY 2013. Close to 3.8 trillion.

Government Spending Details: Federal State Local for 2013 - Charts

Defense? That's 901 billion. Medicare/Medicaid? That's 916 Billion. Social Security? 878 Billion. None of those are cuttable. Interest on the debt is 247 billion. So really, 3 Trillion out of 3.8 trillion is already untouchable.

So what's left? Transportation, education and your all time favorite, welfare. (Again, love to put all those people to work, but that might cut into someone's ability to buy a polo pony or a car elevator.) Those things all need to be done.

So unless you want to radically change how we do things, the only alternative is raising taxes on wealthy assholes... which again, I have no problem with.

Why do Democrats hate fiscal responsibility?

Americans are in debt up their ears. I'd hardly choose the average American as someone to put in charge of fiscal responsibility.

Romney and the GOP have a plan that will sink the government even deeper in debt.

How is it that all I read is the left whining about how they can't the specifics of Romney's plan and yet you have enough to make this kind of analysis.

Maybe you should share your vast knowledge with them.
