A television station in Tennessee had no policy about airing commercials on same-sex marriage until executives received a submission this week. The 30-second spot, sponsored by the group Freedom to Marry, features Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld, a gay soldier who just returned from a tour of duty working in a trauma hospital in Afghanistan — and wants to marry his partner.

Since when is it obligatory for American citizens and business to support gay marriage? Don't forget we don't have an obligation to support LGBT community or any other group. Nobody has a right to force you into supporting anything you don't believe in. More than that, a person can support gay marriage on personal level and completely ignore this sensitive topic in public simply because he doesn't want to do so.
In America we don't owe anything to each other and being insulted by someone else's indifference is at least dull.

The station is a business it can air what it wants
And in this case, Ellen...

......... the station is a business.... it can air what it wants. So if it doesn't want to air an ad it doesn't like, but does want to air Ellen......

The station is a business..... it can air what it wants.

So strange that people can't figure out this simple concept. "Well what about blaw blaw??"

What part of "it can air whatever it wants" didn't you get?

Freedom dude. Did you miss that? Freedom means people can make choices you don't understand, and shockingly, have no need to explain to you.

Isn't obligatory. But if you refuse to air it people are going to make it a thing. Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't.

Just pointing out the irony eh? They show an hour of a married gay woman five days a week, but not a 30-second ad.

Doesn't matter. What business is it of yours, or mine, what ad or shows they air? It's their call. Their TV station. They should have the right to determine what they do with their own property.

If they don't want to air an ad because there is too much blue in the background color, that should be their right.

I don't care about the 'irony' of anything. It's not my business, or yours.

Who cares?

Exactly, for a measly 1-3% of the population the poofters sure make a lot of noise, annoying assholes
When they are equals this whole discussion will go away, in about 30 days.

By "equal" you mean a tiny fraction of the population dictating to the rest of us how we should live.... no that's never going away. Because we will not abide by your rules on how we live. You'll have to kill us. Good luck trying.

Isn't Ellen a network show?

Are you saying that Ellen Degeneres has no value to entertainment besides the fact that she has behavior obsessions known as "gay"? Is she trying to make out with a girl on her show? Is she trying to marry a girl on her show?

I think that's a bit different than the LGBT attempt to normalize anal sex in Tennessee through use of a wounded soldier who happens to be into the gay thing and wanting to redact marriage there to accomodate his ilk's new trend.. Ultimately they have to get "the breeders" into softening to all things gay, and then get a new generation of kids warmed up to it.

I think this is also indicative of where they know the SCOTUS is going to come down next month on the quesiton of turning gay marriage into a federal mandate forced upon the states. They're already starting to hammer away at the states voters. So, there's your harbinger.

Yeah, of course. He knows that too. He knows the station has no control over that, but completely control over local advertising.

He knows this. He doesn't care. He's looking for anything he thinks makes a point. Just another mindless drone.

So what have they "forced" you to change about your life?

Never.

And no one is advocating that they should.

Of course that won't prevent many on the right form attempting to contrive this into a 'controversy' and seeking to propagate lies about it.

Does anyone but the sodomite community think that the "right" turned homosexual marriage into a "controversy"? America is the most tolerant Nation in the world but tolerance isn't enough for the sodomites. They have to rub the noses of the other 98% of Americans in their decadence.
