Turkish warplane crashed in Syrian territorial waters

I'd like to see more.

The aircraft is a reconaissance configuration, which was modernized in 2010:

You still gotta rewind the rubber band.
I think the Turks should stick to riding donkeys. They look similar.

They committed genocide on the Armenians and the Kurds and stole their land. This kind of stuff is nothing new to the Turks. The Ottomans were among the most ruthless barbaric invaders in history.

Seriously...where do you assholes come up with this shit? Jews committed genocide on Armenians?! . Oh my Gawd! Are Armenians aware of this?! Somebody needs to get the word out that they're after the wrong people! Maybe you should inform the NY Times or Armenian Times?! Ha ha ha!

Is there any lie these fucking lunatics are ashamed of telling? Fits the profile of a Palestinian supporter to the T.

Pretty stupid.
What's pretty stupid. Be specific.

The idea of Turkey trying to seize parts of Syria. Can't think of anything that would cause them more grief.

Also, you overrate the Turkish Air force.
In case you haven't noticed, Türkiye doesn't sweat getting a little grief. They have one of the largest militaries in the world, and second largest in NATO. And they are too important, strategically, to the U.S. for us to make enemies of them. Bob Dole tried that once, and it was a disaster.

We sell them their planes and we train their pilots. They certainly don't suck.

Are you talking about the Ottoman Empire or Türkiye?
Same thing.

And modern day Turkey is the same thing as the Hittites too? Is that why Syria shot down the plane?

It does appear NATO and Turkey are cooking something up against Syria. Looks like Turkey wants to flex its military muscle. It could really backfire on them though. I guess we'll see. Stay tuned.

At the airport, after returning from Los-Cabos / Rio, the PM made a press-conference:
Full of predictable turkish king-kongian chest-thumping and lies, of course.

- not clear what brought the plane down
- not clear if it was shot down
- pilots are still being searched
- there's no confirmation about press-reports, that the pilots were captured
- there's no apology from Syria like it was reported in press
So, two turkish fools (and the whole turkish-foolish little ottoman napoleons) bumbling on a recon mission on an RF-4A over syrian real estate, got some modern russkie anti-aircraft hardware up their collective turkish bum. In fact, missile tail stabilizer planes are visible sticking out of the Erdogan's and Gul's asses.

Same thing.
Not even close. Educate yourself.
Not even close huh?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Empire

The Great Ottoman Empire[dn 3] or Turkish Empire or Sublime Ottoman State or sometimes also referred to as Turkey [7] (Ottoman Turkish: دَوْلَتِ عَلِيّهٔ عُثمَانِیّه Devlet-i ʿAliyye-yi ʿOsmâniyye[8] (also عثمانلى دولتى Osmanlı Devleti),[dn 4] Modern Turkish: Osmanlı Devleti or Osmanlı İmparatorluğu) was a Turkish empire which lasted from 27 July 1299[9] to 1 November 1922 (623 years), when the Sultanate was abolished.[10]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Turks

The Ottoman Turks (or Osmanlı Turks) were the Turkish-speaking population of the Ottoman Empire who formed the base of the state's military and ruling classes. Reliable information about the early history of Ottoman Turks is scarce, but they take their Turkish name, Osmanlı (corrupted in European languages as "Ottoman"), from the house of Osman I (reigned ca. 1299-1326), the founder of the dynasty which ruled the Ottoman empire during its 620-year history. After the expansion from its home in Bithynia, the Ottoman principality began incorporating both other Turkish-speaking Muslims and non-Turkish Christians, becoming the Ottoman Turks and ultimately the Turks of the present. The Ottoman Turks blocked all land routes to Europe by conquering the city of Constantinople, the capital city of the Byzantine Empire. Hence the Europeans had to find other ways to trade with Eastern countries.

You don't want to debate me about Turkey, son. I've been studying that country since my first visit in 1990. Cutting and pasting Wiki articles isn't going to get you too far.

The plane was on a regular mission in Eastern Mediteranean to test Turkish radars. During the mission the plane entered Syrian Airspace between 11:42 -- 11:47. At 11:45 the plane was instructed by the Turkish Radar base to leave Syrian Airspace.

11 minutes later at 11:58 in International Airspace the Syrians hit the Aircraft. The radio-communication of the Syrian side is in the possesion of Turkey.

We sell them their planes and we train their pilots. They certainly don't suck.

In cas you haven't noticedthe larger part of the Turkish armed forces consists of poorly-trained, semi-literate or illerate conscripts. Only a limited part of this vast military machine is professional, and it's rife with corruption.

They're having a hard time keeping the poorly-trained PKK terrorists under control. So how are they going to take on Syria and come out well?

Ekrem could verify, but I believe that the internal state police takes the lead on PKK within Turkey. That may have changed since the 1990s, though.

What the member Artevelde said is not worth responding to.
In his logic the US-Soldiers can't defeat the Taliban for over a decade because the US-Soldiers are illiterate.
"Just another" bullshittalker.

The Turkish Army is heavily involved in the fight against the PKK.
