Does Obama know?

Is Turkey one of the countries he went to and says "Punches above their weight"?

BFD. Israel's per capita income is twice that of turkey.

Israel has also produced 7 Nobel Prize Laureates for important contributions to science, economics and literature.

Number of Nobel Laureates produced by the turkeys: Zero.

turkey's only distinction is the turks' complicity in the Armenian genocide.

We examined 150 of the worlds largest metropolitan economies--50 each in the United States, Europe, and other world regions--and tracked their performance on employment and income before, during, and after the downturn.
The result?
Istanbul takes the top ranking for economic growth in the past year.

Turkey's nominal GDP --minus-- Israel's nominal GDP = Difference.

If Turkey grows 8,5 % how much must small Israel grow just to keep the Difference the same? Israel has to grow by around 26 % to keep the Difference the same.

But Israel isn't growing with 26 % annualy, so Difference gets bigger each year.
If we take GDP-PPP then Israel even has to grow 39% just to keep Difference the same.

It's like a scissor continously growing apart.

75 Israeli technology companies are listed on NASDAQ, more than any other country in the world [75] :clap2:

Number of turkey companies on NASDAQ: Not even one

Companies in Israel - NASDAQ.com

Why should Turkish companies go to New York?
They only would, if Istanbul Stock-Exchange would be a tiny kindergarten Stock-Exchange not being able to raise IPOs or attract enough investors. Just like the kindergarten Stock-Exchange in Tel-Aviv.

Turkish companies don't need American investors and don't need to enter American stock market.
Istanbul is regional finance center and Istanbul Stock Exchange has joint indices with Deutsche Börse from Germany.
Istanbul also has one of biggest bonds and gold bourse.

OECD Territorial Reviews: Istanbul, Turkey
Istanbul is also home to the 4th largest bond market in the world, after the Spanish, English and OMX markets (Figure 1.29).
The total value of bond trading is around USD 531 billion, largely exceeding that of other big players like Korea, Germany and Euronext.

Turkish companies can finance their requirements within Turkey(Istanbul).

I only read USA.
Take USA out of your sentences and nothing stays behind.
