Palmer was awesome and seriously under rated as a musician and performer. He was unique.

Much like Bryan Ferry (I loved Roxy)

I used to promote this band. I loved them so. Long rock and roll story but they wrote such great tunes but I could never break them out because their manager had a lock hold on them wanting (eta my ex husbands opinion and I agree in hindsight) only venue money wherever they played.

Fabulous songwriters in the band. But Paul was astounding. He perished in a bus accident on tour. He was awesome.

Lately, all the nights seem all the same
Since you said goodbye

I'm all alone
The only voice is my own

Can you hear me, are you near me
Did you know that I hurt this bad

Did you love me, did you need me
Or were you just a dream I had

This memory haunts me forever

Better run for my life
Hide from the light
Dark is the night
Deep Cuts The Knife
No way, I'll get away
Memories here to stay
Deep Cuts The Knife

Lately, I see your face in everything I do
Sleepless nights I lie in bed just thinkin' of you

I can't pretend
That I don't need you back again

Did you love me, did you need me
Well, alright, but what's so wrong

This memory haunts me forever

Better run for my life
Hide from the light
Dark is the night
Deep Cuts The Knife
No way, I'll get away
Memories here to stay
Deep Cuts The Knife

I am your slave
Got no defender
You flash the blade
I can't escape, I can't surrender

Run for my life
Hide from the light
Dark is the night
Deep Cuts The Knife
No way, I'll get away
Memories here to stay
Better run for my life
Hide from the light
Dark is the night
Deep Cuts The Knife
No way, I'll get away
Memories here to stay
Deep Cuts The Knife

Deep cuts, Deep Cuts The Knife
Deep Cuts The Knife
Better run, better run for my life
Deep Cuts The Knife
Deep Cuts The Knife
Deep Cuts The Knife
Memories here to stay, it won't go away
Deep Cuts The Knife

I am your slave

Here's to you. A great song to a great friend.

Hope the video link works. still have this old ancient beast here. Let me know if it works because live the band would kill you if you love just plain rock and roll.

I broke them out in a lot of markets but especially Texas.

wow... great 80's stuff that I'd never heard before...

how 'bout some seriously old Dr. John...

for no particular reason except that it just popped into my head...

back in the late 60's, this tune often came up in the play list for "Beaker Street", the legendary late-night program from clear-channel KAAY outta Little Rock...

Mama Roux (apart from the ultimate and most wonderous right place, wrong time) I think was one of my all time faves of his. Great showman.

grab T-man, pull him out on the dance floor, and hold him close for a slow one... :)

Put your hips close to mine. Awwwwwwwwww this ones a killer. Every body dance now.

Ir's a folk classic but most know it because of these gentlemen. Burdon slays me. If you ever ever have the chance to see Eric Burdon live, for heavens sake do it.

When he sings, well you'll want to birth his babies and guys I'm talking to you too. :D

But out to Billy. Here's a song for you friend, just cause I love you so......

"Songwriters: MITCHELL, JONI

Love came to my door
With a sleeping roll
And a madman's soul
He thought for sure I'd seen him
Dancing up a river in the dark
Looking for a woman
To court and spark

He was playing on the sidewalk
For passing change
When something strange happened
Glory train passed through him
So he buried the coins he made
In People's Park
And went looking for a woman
To court and spark"

I love Joni. Others know the rest of the words.
