Tucson Shooting Victim Arrested at Town Hall Meeting

Indications are that the Tucson shooter was given preferential treatment a few times by the Sheriff because his mother was a part of the political circle.

Fuller is facing misdemeanor charges for making a threat and disorderly conduct. He is also being involuntarily committed.

"involuntarily committed"

That's strange .....

20 Percent Of Americans Suffer From Mental Illness

and

20 percent Of Americans identify as Liberal

Funny how that works...
:eusa_whistle:

And 20% think Iraq was responsible for 911.

Really can you link that?
I can't seem to find anything more updated. It almost seems like the MSM has lost interest in our wars now
Funny how that works
:eusa_whistle:

The most updated I could find is the following:

Question Iraq responsible for 911?
Newsweek
June 2007 responses: 41% Yes, 50% No, 9% not sure.

NYT/CBS
September 2007 responses: 33% said Yes, 58% said No.

----------------------------------------------
But you will be happy to know from the same link

Scripps Howard polls

"Federal officials either participated in the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon or took no action to stop them".

  • 20% "somewhat likely"
There is that 20 percent again, "911 Truthers"

Wasn't former czar and Papa Obama appointee, Van Jones, a "911 Truther"?

Don't worry, I'm sure if the Left keeps their "tin-foil" hats on, the evil mind rays originating from Palin, Beck, and Limbaugh won't penetrate their head.

You will be safe- just keep your hat on

Of course, if people on the Left take off their "tin-foil" hats, they can't be held responsible for what they may do....

The beat goes on indeed.

This tragic event will not be oil poured on troubled waters, folks

Its effect is already more like this:

SOME of us, (the damned fools among us) want revolution so badly its palpable, folks.

We read it here every damned day, for christsakes!

Well, having been involuntarily committed to a Mental institution this guy can never buy a firearm again. Unless he petitions the Treasury Secretary and gets a favorable response.

Yea, I can see why "You're dead" is considered a threat to kill. When someone can provide concrete proof that any right wing talking head has ever used a similar statement, I would have some reason to agree with their constant whining.

"I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out -- is this wrong? I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus -- band -- Do, and I've lost all sense of right and wrong now. I used to be able to say, "Yeah, I'd kill Michael Moore," and then I'd see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I'd realize, "Oh, you wouldn't kill Michael Moore. Or at least you wouldn't choke him to death." And you know, well, I'm not sure." -- Glenn Beck, May 17, 2005

Stupid, yea. A threat to kill or an incitement for others? No.

I think it's very sad. The shooting seems to have unhinged this man...but it likely would me, too.

No doubt, the vitriolic environment that the MSM and the Left created in the past few days against conservatives, based on false hoods, could not have helped the situation.

I will pray for his speedy recovery

You mean he can never LEGALLY buy a gun again.

You and I both know that anyone who wants can get their hands on a gun.

Saying “You’re Dead.” does not equate to saying "I'm thinking about killing you" or even
"I'm wondering if I could kill him myself" Neither are a direct threat. compared to your dead. Now your best bet was to spin it into the political like your politicaly dead.

(KGUN) –The meeting room at St. Odilia’s Catholic Church on the city’s northwest side was packed with local dignitaries, witnesses to the mass shooting Jan. 8, some of the witnesses to the shootings and the first responders to the scene for a taping of an ABC-TV special, a town hall event, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Host of the program, This Week, is Christianne Amanpour. The show will air at 7 a.m. Sunday on KGUN9-TV.
…
Toward the end of the town hall meeting Saturday morning, one of the shooting victims, J. Eric Fuller, took exception to comments by two of the speakers: Ariz. state Rep. Terri Proud, a Dist. 26 Republican, and Tucson Tea Party spokesman Trent Humphries.
According to sheriff’s deputies at the scene, Fuller took a photo of Humphries and said, “You’re Dead.”
Deputies immediately escorted Fuller from the room.

Pima County Sheriff’s spokesman Jason Ogan said later Saturday that Fuller has been charged with threats and intimidation and he also will be charged with disorderly conduct.
Among the dignitaries at the town hall taping were Mayor Bob Walkup, U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva and former Congressman Jim Kolbe.
ABC News dubbed the town hall, “After the Tragedy: An American Conversation Continued.”
A press released stated that the event will restart the conversation that Giffords began. “Among those who will join the Town Hall: family members of victims, citizens who took heroic action and community leaders,” the press release stated.

How sad that the vitriolic political environment that the Left and the MSM have intensified in the last few days is causing even more violence by the Left.

Let us pray for him and the victims of this terrible tragedy.

This man should not have said this and is likely now going to get the treatment he needs after his tramatic experience of being shot in this crime.

I would mention to you that fortunately his threat was acted upon and No one was hurt.

He is likely suffereing from post tramatic stress.

Im glad you agree that words do matter and that they can spurn on unbalenced people to violence.

I hope we can convince all Americans that violent speech has no place in our poltical debate.

Well it SEEMS the lefties and their Lamestream media got what they wanted.

the spin all week about how the shooting was Palins, the Republicans, the Tea Party, etc etc.

good work it seems you SUCCEEDED..
you all better hope Nobody else gets killed, it will be BLOOD ON your hands.

I dont get how you come to that conclusion Steph?

The man is obviously suffereing mentally from his own near death experience that left him with gunshot wounds.

How is calling for more civil discourse causing this man to act violently?

Words like
Suddenly Emanuel grabbed his steak knife and, as those who were there remeber it, shouted out the name of another enemy, lifted the knife, then brought it down with full force into the table.

''Dead!'' he screamed.

The group immediately joined in the cathartic release: ''Nat Landow! Dead! Cliff Jackson! Dead! Bill Schaefer! Dead!''

They put it in peoples mind that saying such a thing would cause someone to kill another person they kept going for two years. I think thats what she is saying.

As demonstrated on this board, politics can be rancorous. But how many here would take a picture of a politician and blurt out, "You're dead!"" I say there's something wrong with this man. May be PTSD, but I wouldn't let him out until he's on his way with successful treatment.
