With all the injuries the Dodgers have been dealing with, Alex Verdugo was called up and tonight he had his breakout major league game. Two doubles, scored twice and the Dodgers won 2-1. This is of special interest to me since I watched Alex play high school ball and summer league ball with and against my son. It is sooooo hard to make it to the majors my gosh. There have been so many really good ballplayers come out of Tucson and the only one in recent history that made a splash in the bigs is Ian Kinsler. Alex finally made it after 3 years in the minors. Congrats kid I hope you have a long career.
