Morgan's Ratings Tanked After Being Eviscerated By Shapiro​

With the announcement of the cancelation of his CNN show, many postmortems are now being performed on the failure that was Piers Morgan's American talk show. An analysis by TruthRevolt though shows that Morgan's ratings, already tanking, spiraled further downward after being destroyed in an on-air debate by TruthRevolt Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro.

After debuting in February of 2011, Morgan's rating's were down 40 percent one year into his tenure, still third in the ratings and averaging 180,000 viewers a night in the key 25-54 demographic.

CRUZ: You know, let me say something at the outset. The questions that have been asked so far in this debate illustrate why the American people don't trust the media.

This is not a cage match. And if you look at the questions: Donald Trump, are you a comic book villain? Ben Carson, can you do math? John Kasich, will you insult two people over here? Marco Rubio, why don't you resign? Jeb Bush, why have your numbers fallen?

How about talking about the substantive issues –

... and, Carl, I'm not finished yet. The contrast with the Democratic debate, where every fawning question from the media was, Which of you is more handsome and why? And let me be clear –

QUINTANILLA: You have 30 seconds left to answer, should you choose to do so.

CRUZ: Let me be clear. The men and women on this stage have more ideas, more experience, more common sense than every participant in the Democratic debate. That debate reflected a debate between the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks.

And nobody watching at home believes that any of the moderators have any intention of voting in a Republican primary. The questions that are being askedshouldn't be trying to get people to tear into each other. It should be what are your substantive –

The liberal mainstream media illustrated their power when a junior journalist teamed up with the journalist son of card carrying communists and brought down the Nixon administration with a freaking informant they didn't identify until forty years later when he was dead. Nobody questioned the tactics because there was no information source at the time other than liberal. Libs long for the good old days but the liberal media isn't as powerful as it once was when Cronkite was king and before talk radio but they are united and they have the numbers and they are committed and determined and they have Hollywood if all else fails. Arrogant CBS thought they could influence a presidential election with fake documents. After all Cronkite did it when he turned the American victory of Tet during the Vietnam war into a defeat but they were surprised when it didn't work. The once venerable "anchor" Dan Rather took an early retirement and producer Mary Mapes was forced to redo her resume in the fallout. But wait, Hollywood enters the picture with a docu/lie intending to revive the reputations of Rather and Mapes and blame Rush Limbaugh for the misunderstanding. The bottom line is that the mainstream media is still powerful and united and dedicated to covering up democrat administrations and exposing republicans. Media Matters' mission statement is that they monitor (only) conservative speech. You could add that MM spins it and launders it and sends it to left wing blogs and the mainstream media. The republican/conservative political operation has no such tool but maybe TruthRevolt will work.

Hypocrisy, it's not just for dinner anymore.

Salon, where every other headline is about how "Insane Right-Wing Nut Jobs Hate Science, Destroy the Planet and Plot Genocide", is probably not the place to plant a piece about toning down the rhetoric. The entire site is like a parody of what conservatives imagine Michael Moore sounds like after overdosing on PCP. A sample of headlines include such gems of sensible rhetoric as "This is why Ben Carson lies: The dark, disturbing reality of race, religion and today’s right-wing", "Beware the GOP’s toxic jingoism" and "The GOP’s nightmarish war fantasies".

Everyone at Salon is always screeching all the time about how evil Republicans, and occasionally even liberals, are.

So Chauncey DeVega responded to the ISIS massacres in Paris by complaining about Republicans in Salon. That's the default position for everything in Salon. If it rains then, "GOP Toxic-Science Haters Make It Rain With Their Lies". If it doesn't rain, "How the Right-Wing Hate Machine Has Dried Up the Heavens With its Hate".

The main thrust of Chauncey DeVega's message was that #BlackLivesMatter hate group members shouldn't be described as terrorists or Nazis. Since there are real terrorists.

Technically #BlackLivesMatter is a hate group rather than a terrorist group since its tactics, such as "invading white spaces" and harassing people with a hate message, "Black lives matter" instead of "All lives matter" is typical of racist organizations. Some of its members have murdered police officers and were caught on camera encouraging the murder of police officers. And as Baltimore's death rate shows, the impact of these hate groups have cost a lot of black lives.

But after being called out by a number of conservative sites, Chauncey DeVega relaunched his screed by comparing Republicans to Nazis. After just asking conservatives not to compare his group to Nazis.

"When I dared ask conservatives to tone down violent rhetoric after Paris, they responded with death threats," he complains. For some reason there's a photo of Tucker Carlson on top.

Anyway Chauncey DeVega is really upset about "America’s right-wing media, and conservatives... casual use of violent rhetoric." So he launches into a screed about "right-wing cretins" and "Right-wing thugs."

Chauncey DeVega claims that, "conservatism and racism is now the same thing." Then he argues that conservatives are some sort of inferior race. "Political psychologists and other researchers have shown that the brains and cognitive processes of conservatives exhibit binary thinking," Also conservatives are illiterate zombies who "have a fetish-like obsession with “guns, God and the flag” are a crystallization of those dynamics." There are a lot of bold words. Some italics. Lots of exclamation points. Basically everything you expect from a Salon essay about ending "violent rhetoric".

Republicans are racist Nazi zombies whose brains are fundamentally different than those of human beings. Won't Salon please put an end to all that "eliminationist rhetoric".

That's exactly what Salon and the left have been obsessively doing for ages. It's the structure of the left-wing outrage machine that, among other things run #BlackLivesMatter. DeVega is complaining about the tactics of his own movement.

He's whining about conservative intolerance and violent rhetoric while practicing exactly the thing that he's complaining about.

oday a letter attacking me was sent to all members of the UCLA community – that would be nearly 50,000 people I think – by Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Jerry Kang. The Vice Chancellor’s letter attacked me as a “provocateur” who last year “put up hostile posters accusing two student organizations — the Muslim Student Association (MSA) and Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) — of being murderers and terrorists.” This is a lie.

Actually it is two lies. First, the posters posted last year targeted only Students for Justice in Palestine – not the Muslim Students Association. Kang obviously included MSA so that he could condemn me for employing what he called a “tactic of guilt by association, of using blacklists, of ethnic slander, and sensationalized images engineered to trigger racially-tinged fear.” (Calling people you don’t agree with racist seems to be a favored gutter tactic of activists on campuses like UCLA these days.)

Second the posters did not accuse SJP of being an organization of murderers and terrorists, as the Vice Chancellor claims. They accused SJP of being “Jew-haters” because they support the murderers and terrorists of Hamas, which they do. That is why the only words on the posters were “Students for Justice in Palestine” and “#Jew Haters.” In a public statement I also called on UCLA to remove the campus privileges and university funding of SJP because they are a hate group and their activities routinely violate UCLA’s “Statement of Principles Against Intolerance,” which Vice Chancellor Kang professes to champion.

Kang then accused me of compounding these sins by conducting a new poster campaign – launched yesterday - called “Stop the Jew Hatred on Campus.” The new posters listed the names of UCLA student and faculty activists who support SJP and BDS – the Hamas-inspired boycott movement, designed to strangle the Jewish state. Kang’s letter calls the posters “a focused, personalized intimidation that threatens specific members of our Bruin community.” There is no intimidation on the posters, just a list of names of activists who support SJP and BDS. Nonetheless, Kang went on to elaborate “if your name is plastered around campus, casting you as a murderer or terrorist, how could you stay focused on anything like learning, teaching, or research?” But the posters don’t cast those listed on them as murderers and terrorists, just activists from Students for Justice in Palestine who supported the BDS boycott campaign. BDS has been denounced by figures as liberal as Alan Dershowitz and Larry Summers as anti-Semitic. Kang sent a personal letter of support to all those named as activists in behalf of these anti-Semitic campaigns. He then went on to lecture everybody about diversity, tolerance and inclusion.

FAKE UNIVERSITY HARVARD USES FAKE PROFESSOR’S LIST TO SMEAR REAL NEWS SITES

Harvard University has picked up on a Merrimack College professor’s list of “fake news” sites, including the Daily Caller, the Drudge Report, Breitbart News, the Washington Examiner, the Washington Free Beacon, Independent Journal Review (IJR), and even Bill Kristol’s relentlessly Never-Trump The Weekly Standard. FrontPage Mag, Jihad Watch, and Truth Revolt also make the list. It sure is great to have our intellectual betters at Harvard explain to us what are “illegitimate” sources of news, but there’s just one catch: the “fake news” list doesn’t contain even a single site that is the slightest bit Left of center.

That’s right: BuzzFeed, with its fake dossier on Donald Trump, didn’t make the list. Nor did the New York Times or the Washington Post or CNN, despite all their no-there-there hysteria about Russia “hacking” the 2016 presidential election. Nor does the Huffington Post or Salon or Slate or Glenn Greenwald’s fact-free Intercept. Harvard’s list is clearly intended not to warn people away from hoax news sources and stories, but to demonize, stigmatize and marginalize the perspective of the half of the American electorate that American electorate that voted for Donald Trump.

Harvard’s list is another example of how the Left today, and particularly the academic Left, is authoritarian, intolerant of dissent, and increasingly intent on demonizing and destroying its opponents, rather than engaging them in rational debate. Liberal journalist Kirsten Powers, author of The Silencing: How the Left is Killing Free Speech, recalls that when she was growing up, “I can’t remember anyone ever suggesting that conservative views were illegitimate and unworthy of debate.” Now, that is all Leftists ever say. David Horowitz has, of course, argued that the Left is inherently authoritarian, and that any Leftist regime will move to crush dissent; now Harvard is proving him right once again.

The contemporary Left so closely identifies its agenda with all that is good that it considers those who oppose its imperatives to be beyond the pale of reasonable discourse and decent human beings. The foes of the Left must therefore be shouted down, discredited, and destroyed altogether. Harvard is busy doing just that.
