Trump's Going To Shove Kate's Law Down Democrats Throat

What in the wide world of blue fuck are you even talking about here?

We're talking about how stupid you are. Thanks for the punchline.

Criminal killers being let out on our streets to kill us under the Identity Politics grievance industry dogma.

Since you gave no indication in your OP somehow expecting Earth to I dunno simply be reading your mind --- it appears you have the Stupid locked up.

I tell ya what, NOBODY ever clicks into a thread I start and can't tell what the fucking topic is. But then, I actually learned to write.

/thread
Since there are 11 "Winner" 5 "Agree" and 3 "Thank you" on the OP it's obvious that a lot of people are clued in to what "Kate's Law" is about.

Establishing Mandatory Minimums for Illegal Reentry Act of 2015 or Kate's Law

This bill amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to increase penalties applicable to aliens who unlawfully reenter the United States after being removed.

I don't give a flying fuck if it's got bat guano on it --- he didn't say what the fuck he was talking about at the time, now did he?
Eventually some more sentient soul made a reference that gave us a clue -- as you just did, thanks for that --- but all the OP left us was an unreferenced turd. That's why I questioned him, because that's fucking stupid. You don't start a thread without explaining what your point is about, unless you're just here to jack off.

False.

That was a Republican con.

Republicans caused that and then they claimed that someone ELSE caused that.

No, it was a promise from your leader. Every single Republican voted against Commie Care. But because it was such a failure, you and yours are now trying to blame Republicans for it.
No, I clearly informed you that I'm not a fan of the ACA.

And, I did NOT suggest that Republicans voted for it.

I DID say that the ACA was designed in bi-partisan committees in the House and the Senate.

And, that is absolutely true.

No, not true. Republicans tried to water it down as much as possible in the event it actually did pass.
So let's try this again: Every single Republican in Congress voted against Commie Care.
It is you who is wrong about this. Republicans on the committees that designed the ACA made numerous constructive contributions.

McCain has pointed out that after the bill had progressed to the point where changes had to be made as amendments, Republicans contributed over 160 amendments that were accepted into the law.

And, given the Democratic super majority in the Senate and the majority in the House, Dems had the numbers to reject ALL those amendments, so suggesting they were an assault on the ACA is ridiculous.

And, I've pointed out that no Republican voted for the bill. That's not in contention here.

If you have a point, you're going to have to do better in explaining it.

I can't explain it any better than I did. If the Republicans wanted anything to do with it, they would have voted for it. But they understood that it would come down to a totally partisan vote which they might not be able to stop, so again, they did what they could to water it down as much as possible.

Now that it's a failure and most of the predictions we made about it came true, you on the left are trying to blame-shift. But it doesn't work now and won't work in the future. Commie Care is your baby--not ours. Just because Republicans made it a little less destructive doesn't mean they were for it or participated in it's creation.

A con artist is somebody who leeches millions off the gullible with the aforementioned playbook maxim "you don't sell solutions; you sell feelings", then pays out 25 million bucks to settle the inevitable fraud case (after of course denying he'd ever do that) so that it wouldn't be sitting in front of the Electoral College when it came time to vote.

Trump is a fighter. The only reason he GAVE that money away is so he wouldn't have such a distraction to prevent him from doing his new (and such an important) job. His primary focus is now leading this country in the right direction, and he didn't need petty lawsuits to get in his way.

If Hil-Lair had won the election, Trump would have fought these losers all the way to defeat. He simply doesn't have that kind of time now.

On our planet we have what we call "lawyers" to handle that. They take all the time they need, and then invent more.

No, he settled because he knew where it was going.

Lawyers or no lawyers, if you need to testify you have to show up. That would involve the entire security team to shut down the airport, shut down the roads, clear the hallways to the courtroom, the whole ball of wax. Plus of course all the time it would take. I don't know how many millions it costs for a proper presidential escort, but Trump waived all that just to get it out of the way.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight That's why he's having no effect at all on Manhattan by hunkering down in Rump Tower.

So where do you want him to stay until he gets to the White House, a Motel six in Alabama or something?

I'm thinking maybe a nice hut in Swaziland. Some place where there's no Twit access.

What a pleasant little boy you are.

OK, let's take this piece by piece. If Republicans wanted nothing to do with it, they wouldn't have joined a bi-partisan effort to design our health care system. Being an active, contributing part of the design process, making over 160 amendments that Democrats LIKED is proof of wanting "something to do with it".

And, Republican leadership stated that the reason they were voting against it was to demonstrate that Republicans still had power after their devastating election losses.

Next, no, I do NOT agree that it is a failure. It brings a good number of significant features that both Republicans and Democrats are HIGHLY in favor of. It significantly reduces the number without coverage. It saves significant dollars in ER care for the indigent. It has not increased the overall spending on health care by America. And, it did that without implementing the cost savings ideas that were created by the bi-partisan committees that designed the ACA.

Denying that Republicans participated it it's creation is a ludicrous denial of well documented history.

I guess denial is a river in Egypt to you. Keep kidding yourself, but this failure will always be known as the Democrats. You know what happened--I know what happened. As the late comedian George Carlin once said 'If two people are in an elevator, and one of them farts, you both know who did it."

The blame shifting game is over.

I've NEVER been interested in a "blame shifting" game.

Remember, I'm not a fan of the ACA.

But, I'm not going to tolerate BS that could damage our assessment of where we are or impair our ability to move forward wisely.

There was a path to bipartisan reform, but Democrats rejected it
The Democratically-controlled House passed its plan in 2009 with nearly zero Republican input.
Democratic leaders felt that it was unnecessary to solicit Republican support because Democrats had 60 votes in the Senate. “Reid’s directive, backed by the White House and supported by the House, was motivated in part by the seating of Minnesota’s Al Franken, the Democrats’ elusive sixtieth vote, meaning that Republicans were no longer needed to pass a bill.
Democrats, unwilling to budge on broader reform, then tried to ram through a partisan expansion of coverage, with substantial tax increases and an individual mandate, and zero structural reform to Medicare, Medicaid, and the employer tax exclusion. They got what they wanted. But blamingRepublican intransigence for this outcome is myth-making, pure and simple. The blame goes to left-wing Democrats, who refused to entertain a more balanced approach to health reform.

Put simply, liberals’ principal goal was and is universal coverage, and conservatives’ principal goal was and is entitlement reform. These two goals could have been simultaneously accomplished in a bipartisan bill, but liberals had no desire to reform entitlements
