On January 17, 1962 Federal employees stopped working for the people.

We now have a tremendous debt and huge unfunded mandates that has Americans handcuffed to an economic train wreck about to hit because people are now working a few years with incredible salaries in the Federal government and then retiring at full pay and benefits.

First off, federal employees are not forced to join any union at all. The federal employee's unions have little real power. Most federal employees are prevented by law to strike. Secondly, federal employees do not retire with full pay. Most of them retire on 50% or less of full pay. They do enjoy higher salaries and better benefits than most company retirement plans. Most, but not all. One major advantage is the fact that their insurance, which is usually better than most companies provide, are really top of the line plans which 75% of the cost is born by the government.

State and local public unions are a far larger problem.

Then there should be no problem eliminating Fed employees from unionizing, since you claim they have little effect.

I see no benefit in doing so. It is their own money that they pay to the unions for dues.
