Trumpcare

And after 'Trumpcare' I suppose it will be named after whatever jackass takes over next. Shouldn't we just call it Government Care, and accept the fact that our health care is now up for grabs with every damned election?

"Consumers are increasingly uncertain and confused about signing up for health insurance this year. According to an Oct.16 survey of individuals either uninsured or insured through the marketplace, a majority believe that Obamacare will be cancelled in 2018. Additionally, many are unaware that they still qualify for tax credits to lower their premiums, and fewer than 10 percent are aware that 42 states have Dec. 15 as the final deadline to enroll.

These misunderstandings may provide significant opportunity for insurance agents and brokers to get the word out, provide the facts and reach out beyond their client base. The fact is that it’s going to take extra effort to help ease consumer fears this year. It begins with clarifying the current environment. ..."

I'm surprised we don't hear more about the loophole in ACA's individual mandate. Democrats bragged about it quite a bit when they were still trying to sell the thing. According to the fine print, the IRS can't punish you if you refuse to pay the fine. All they can do is keep any refund you might be expecting. So, as long as you aren't overpaying your taxes via withholding, the mandate has no bearing.

Do you see now?

When you were cheering for ACA, did you not realize that putting government in charge of your health care would put your health care at the 'mercy' of government?

How is that not seen ?

It could be Cruzcare or Hillarycare. It does not matter.

The government will always be a poor provider of services like this.

One data point does not make an argument.

And let's be clear, the government was able to throw money at Medicare for a long long time. However, that does not make them a good provider of benefits. In fact, they are terrible stewards over our money.

Sounds like the republicans have convinced you of this.

But funny even my most conservative British friend loves their healthcare. If everyone loves it they don’t fuck with it but because republicans can convince 40% of us anything including global warming isn’t real then they can convince them a good thing is bad

Maybe without the bush tax breaks and Iraq war we could afford healthcare.

Or all of trumps and his crews first class private jets. Already cost us more than obama did and remember how they complained about obama? Compare Michelle Obama’s spending on the trump family. Suddenly republicans aren’t frugal

The insurance providers are jacking it up and you’ll blame everyone but them.

Maybe not for profit should run our healthcare. Ceo only makes $1 million a year. And rather than guys like Rex or trump who care so much can run the not for profit rather than go into politics because you supposedly want to help.

These rich guys go into a political job that pays $200k a year why can’t we find someone to be ceo of our not for profit healthcare company?

Once again, you are relying on what you see.

My conservative (and liberal) British friends don't like the system. They don't like how it functions and they don't like how it still screws the poor.

They'd love to see it change....but certainly not to the kind of mess we have.

As to the rest.....your blather sounds more like a convinced hack than anything.
