Trump signs 'Save Our Seas Act' to boost clean-up efforts in world's oceans

A positive development that concerns all is but ignored by the drive by media as they must paint conservatives as uncaring of the environment. This story doesn't fit that narrative.

So, he'll clean up a little, and dump a lot? How's that going to work?
China leads the world as champion polluter.
We have drastically cut our emmisions while China and India expand theirs.

What exactly are we dumping a lot of? Specifics would be appreciated.

Most garbage and pollution I see is in high density urban areas. City dwellers are pigs. Doesn't matter how many garbage cans you put out, the debris ends up in the streets and washed into the waterways.

The problem here is that China and India are developing countries and their per capita polluting will go down as they develop (well if India actually manages to develop).

To compare the US like this to developing countries is misleading.
China exhibiting the behaviour of a superpower wannabe hardly qualifies as a developing country.
No reason we should punish ourselves while they and other countries of the east pollute and poach wildlife rampantly.

I'm not sure you quite get what "developing country" means.

China is still developing. Shanghai and Beijing are quite developed. But other areas are not so developed.

In the future China will be a superpower. Right now it's not.

Your talk is the arrogance that China will be lording over the US in the future. Beware.
As long as China can rely on useful idiots voting for Democrats in the US and their kindred in the EU, China will continue to claim "developing country" exemptions and dodge any financial burdens the UN wants to foist on everybody else. The Chinese communist party had almost 70 years to "develop" a 6000 year old country that they destroyed. All of Germany was nothing but rubble in 1945 and was rebuilt in less than 5 years.
More accurately West Germany, while the communist East German part had to wait till the communist "German Democratic Republic" collapsed and the wall came down. Again in less than 5 years that part of Germany was fully developed. Using the metrics which define "developing" no communist country anywhere on this planet will ever be developed. Nor will there be any incentive especially not since this CO2 hoax can be used by communists (...who are exempt...) to subvert and destroy all opposition, especially the US which is the lynch pin for a country like China aspiring for global domination.

Oh Trump did a basic Presidential duty and you want him to be praised for it? Might be the first time he’s ever bucked his base, I guess. Too bad he’s spent 2 years trashing the environment.

Sorry. Not buying into the WTO rating while China is now one of the largest economy's on the planet. A country on the clear move of economic and military expansion. Pushing international rules and agreements.
They get no pass from me.
So yes. We should beware.

This has nothing to do with the WTO, this is to do with my own experience of the country.

Yes, it's increasing rapidly, but the size of its economy is due to the fact it has 1.3 billion people and not 300 million like the US. Were it a smaller country, you'd not think it was so rich.

No pass from you? Yeah, well ignorance is a great excuse.

Have you actually been to rural China? Or are you basing your "opinion" on whatever the fuck you find convenient?

Huge contributor of pollution. Worlds largest market of illegal wildlife products.
Oceanic expansion of false islands.

Fuck China.

While almost all of the trash is from Asia and Africa, AMERICANS walk in to clean it up. NOT EUROS, NOT SOCIALISTS, AMERICANS.

Funny how this signing of a positive bill is virtually ignored by the entire media.

Most conservatives I know are very concerned about the environment. Many hunt and fish supporting the environment through direct fees and licensing.
Many live rural and in pristine areas.
I have a private well, and am very concerned about water quality.

They are famous for ignoring things that don't jibe with their beliefs. You might note that they have all but ignored the fact that unemployment is at its lowest point since 1969....Quite an impressive bit of data but completely ignored by the media.

Did you pay any attention to the decrease in unemployment during the Obama administration and the acts of his that are, in fact, responsible for much of what has happened during Trump? No. The media have not ignored that point and many others. It's become a central conservative meme, trying to portray yourselves as persecuted victims.

Only matters what the public perception is s0n. Obama will forever be known as the food stamp president.....left zero marks on the economy. Eight years of sick. Only the hyper-partisan left thinks Obama did well with the economy. Even blacks know that!!!!:113::113:

Question for you. Could Trump have veto'd this bill? No he could not have. So bfd he signed it. And what does he want a cookie for it? Would you have voted for him in 2020 if he didn't sign it? So signing it isn't going to make anyone who doesn't like him vote for him.

The Senate and House by unanimous vote passed the Save Our Seas Act of 2018

So Trump did what? What did he do? Nothing.
