Trump set to roll back Obama's clean water rule

Yet one more piece of Obama's legacy falls by the wayside. This will return power to the hands of the landowners.

"The Trump administration is expected to complete on Thursday a new rule that rolls back parts of the 2015 clean water rule that expanded federal authority over the nation’s streams, rivers and wetlands...."

"...The new rule would reduce the number of waterways the federal government can protect from pollution, as it seeks to appease industry groups and conservative lawmakers who criticized the regulations as a federal land grab that created uncertainty for industry and landowners.

Opponents have also argued the 2015 rule encroached on private property rights and subjected small farmers to added government scrutiny and the risk of legal entanglements."

It would not be bad...it would be terrible. Move to Cuba.

I’ve been telling you. Republicans love filthy air and dirty water. They’ve been calling me nuts and then, there goes trump.

How did the US survive 230 years without the mulatto messiah and his schemes to seize more control over private property?

.

You mean like your Emperer with no clothes schemes to do when he builds his wall?

Is the wall not getting built?

Guess you don't understand the difference in taking property for national infrastructure and just controlling a citizens property without taking it. People chose to purchase property in unrestricted areas for a reason, they don't want government to tell them how they use it. Why do you hate liberty?

.
So it is ok to seize private property but not ok to regulate dumping in waterways that pass through it.

Why do you hate clean water?
A puddle in your backyard is not a waterway, and the EPA has fined people millions of dollars simply for building a pond on their property or bulldozing one away.

Truth is never what eco-fanatics claim it to be.

Also, it is also not OK to seize property without just compensation, and that is exactly what the EPA does.

I hate clean water - don't you?
Do you enjoy paying $50,000 for water that is only 0.0000000000000000000000001% cleaner? None of you eco-morons will answer that question.

Do you enjoy having federal bureaucrats tell you what you can and cannot do with your property?

This has nothing to do with big business. It has to do with the EPA regulating the property of small owners to the point where their land is useless to them.

Clean water is obviously stupid. We can spend millions later on cleaning it up.
pretty sure the "clean water rule" is a name to make you think it's actually about "clean water" vs. imagery they count on to get their "pork" across.

wanting clean water totally escapes me - I mean WHY? Thats got to be the biggest nightmare on the planet.

It was unconstitutional.

I thought courts descide that, not an orange clown.
A court did decide that, I believe. Take a quick google

If court decided that it then why does admin need to interfere?

Nonsense.
Just google and look

Media bias/Fact Check is a biased source, dumbass. You used one bias source to claim another source isn't biased. That's how leftwing propaganda works. All theses organs have an incestuous relationship with each other. Farmers have been fertilizing their fields since the Revolution, and that has almost nothing to do with the EPA's new "clean water" rule.

I wasn't at all familiar with the law beyond the political tug-of-war which dealt with agricultural affects on streams. Perhaps with folks going more organic or becoming more aware of chemicals used for their food source the problem will take care of itself. We've seen what a non-factor Trump has been in the popularity of electric cars, likely this will be the same.

One of the ways of revolution is when people are taxed to much. There is very little return and the winds of civil discourse ramp up. You guys have a high motor in all of your agendas but we have a lazy economy growing at about 2% a year on average for many decades. We get lied to and the government changes its stats on us regularly. They got rid of M 3, they got rid of the 30 year bond during Clinton's presidency and when we are told about certain programs and how long they are sustained by tax increases we see the truth in what real growth we did not have. So social security has massive tax increases in the 1980's. Told us all that it won't go broke until the mid 2070's. Now in trouble by 2030. Medicare even sooner. You have to sniff around to figure out what the real growth is or isn't. Even if you just get the general idea. And the younger ones are paying out the wazoo for the older people with manyliving with the older people because they can not get out of the house.

Here is basic science...

Nitrates in the soil are as common as chicken and pig shit. It's called "fertilizer." If you want to eliminate nitrates, then you want to eliminate farming.

"Organic" means using manure, which contains nitrates.

Agree on some of the over kill in the Clean water act, the solution is not to retaliate buy going in the opposite direction and giving all the big dollar polluters a free pass too dump there waste in our rivers & streams too save them the money it would cost to do a good job of cleaning up their messes.
