I think Trump is just trying to prevent Russia from coupling with China and forming a formidable economic and military alliance. It isn't like the old days when Europe and Japan were stronger and less socialist. Now days the US doesn't get a lot of help from the alliance with them.

If Trump has some sort of rationale for being all in for Russia he should not leave us guessing.

Russia is extremely rich in natural resources and could be a valuable ally as well as trading partner now that they have ditched Communism.

That's bullshit and you know it. Russia is just as totalitarian, nationalistic, militaristic and adversarial to the west as they ever were. We are right back where we were in the cold war only our president is acting exactly like he is collaborating with them.

They ditched Communism? They never were communists. Communism can't exist at that level. They were always a Dictatorship/Oligarchy from day one. And nothing has changed. Their system allows stongman to seize control like Lenin, Stalin and Putin who turns it in to a Dictatorship until they die and then it goes right back to being completely controlled by a small group of white fat rich old guys until the next strongman comes along. Putin is a vicious dictator. Be careful about disagreeing with him if you have ties to any old world Eastern Block Country Roots. See the terror in Melania's eyes? I wonder..........

Forget Putin. Trump may even be kicked out of G7.

I know that is just a cartoon, depicting a "what if" scenario, but unfortunately, I think that it may be a bit prophetic.

Especially when Trump said that he missed the environmental meeting because he had other meetings with the leaders of India and Germany. Only problem is, the photograph that shows Trump's empty chair also shows India and Germany at the meeting. I know that Clint Eastwood mocked Obama with an empty chair, but Trump actually left one at the meeting.

And yeah, I think this could lead to the US losing their position as leader of the free world. Macron has already shown himself to be trying to put France in that position when he invited Iran to visit while the G7 was going on.
