US President Donald Trump has sacked Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, replacing him with the director of the CIA, Mike Pompeo. Thanking Mr Tillerson for his service on Twitter, Mr Trump said the new state secretary would do "a fantastic job".

Trump seems to wait a long time after he makes a decision and then surprises everyone including the victim when he finally springs it.

In Tillerson's case it was probably the moron comment that got him fired months ago, but being totally indecisive Trump waited until now to spring it.
